I was worried that my almost two years old would instantly lose or swallow most of the felt pieces and they would be everywhere and it would be a disaster, but that is not what happened at all! She loves loves loves this feltboard and concentrates on it very heavily for a long period of time for a toddler. When she's playing with it, you can hear a pin drop until she is ready to show you what she has created. She also is very careful and fastidious with her "pieces" as she calls them and does not let them drop on the floor or spread out. She also refuses to share her "pieces" so we are working on that, but when she is done playing, all we have to say is 'lets put the pieces back in their folder' and she carefully picks up every one and names their color and shape. It's been a really successful toy and should have a long life span ahead of it.

We love this toy!! We get endless time of imagination and creativity. Tons of colors tons of shapes. Great value for the money.

Bought this for a 500 mile road trip I took with my daughter last weekend. It was just the two of us, so I picked up a bunch of stuff that would be new to her to try and engage her while she was awake during the trip.She loves the felt board at school so I was super excited to find this for her. It came with a lot of different shapes, several of the same shapes in different colors, so she was able to make a color chart based on shapes (she's 2-1/2), and make fun little scenes.I had hoped it would engage her for more than 10 minutes, but alas, she did get bored with it fairly quickly, which was a bit of a bummer.

This is not as well done as appears in images. The shapes are really to small for a young child . While the idea is to promote creativity it would be a much more actionable you if there with select pages with a design key so the younger child could match this shapes. Mostly this ends up being a free for all of the various shapes on the floor rather than in the book. Would say more educational and effective to buy felt paper and cut the shapes oneself.

Love fuzzy felts! I'm English and grew up playing with set of these. I looked for a while for the right starter sets, one for each of my kiddos, and decided to try this one. I;m glad I did, it's great! The board is a good size and I'm very happy with the quality of it's materials and construction. It folds up onto itself and the felt pieces can be stored inside if you use the additional clothing quality elastic band. The shapes are already cut and pressed out so no fiddly preparations with this brand. It comes with a easy slide zip top plastic bag for shape storage. There is a good assortment of shapes, the pieces have a pattern on one side and plain on the other. The instruction shows them some simple shapes to get them started. Overall I'm happy with this set and will purchase more felt shapes to add to this lot.

This is the second set I’ve bought. I like the self containment and the fact that you have to ‘build’ your designs instead of having items already made to attach to the board (using a square triangle rectangle, etc. to build a house as opposed to a pre-cut house). I also love the fact that the pieces are small as is the foldable compact board. I haven’t been able to find anything else similar to this. I ordered this as a second set to complement the first set she still has.

This is really a nice product for the price. It comes with plenty of little pieces to keep your child busy. It does come with a clear sleeve to keep the felt cut outs in however this often slides out of the book. That is really the only improvement that could be made; some sort of a folder pocket inside the book/board itself.Note; if your little one still likes to dump things or puts everything in their mouth, they may not be ready for this. I have one daughter (2.5) who this was purchased for and her little sister (1.5) makes a mess of it. It really is a great item for a child to use their imagination with. We like to make up stories about the items as they are placed on the board.

really love this set for my 4 soon to be 5 daughter. she is obsessed with this and my twins who are about to turn 2 next month have been entertained too. i was making my homemade board set when i came across this one and got it for the car rides and camping and learning time at home. the only thing i don't like is that the bag comes with a separate stretchy white band you can put around the bag and book to keep it "together". i wish the band was attached somehow to the book because my twins got a hold of it and that seems dangerous. choking around neck type hazard. i put it away and gave my daughter a special drawer to put her bag and book of felt into for safe keeping. but in the car...that's where we have the problem of not knowing how to store it together. hence the 4 star. otherwise it is a great find and good price. id recommend it just don't have that white rubber band style strap out if you have younger ones.
