Good for Vintage Dutch Mopeds!
I have a 1976 Batavus Regency VA II that has been having terrible problems with fuel leaks. The lines have leaked. The carburetor's banjo fitting was leaking. It was a real headache. With old mopeds, it puts you on your toes when you order anything online that's new and not OEM. Will it have the same threading? Did I measure things correctly? The current banjo bolt I have that is 7.5mm in diameter at the threads when I measured so I was nervous that this banjo fitting, which is what I presumed needed to be replaced, would be too big. Not the case. I used my neoprene washers I already had, the banjo bolt I had, and replaced the fitting. Now, it runs dry as the desert. Not a drop of fuel leaks. This was a very practical solution to my problem and would be useful for similar applications in older Encarwi carburetors like my own.
