Great sound for the size
This is similar to my old one that I lost. It has great sound for the size and is easy to carry in your gear bag, but I really wish it had a clip on the back like my old one did. Ya don’t want it falling down and clanking in the deer stand and making a loud thump, so a clip on the back would have made it even better. I liked to attach my old one to the camp netting, or something nearby in order have easy access to it. You never know when a tote is gonna cruise by very quickly when deer hunting, so I like to grab this and set it off, and usually it will bring them back in to their demise.

Haven’t used in field yet but I’m hopeful.
I have put batteries in this and tried it out but not on actual boar yet so bear in mind my review is more about the quality of the hardware. Firstly I’ll start with the volume level. I’ve read that boars can hear pretty well at over 100 yards. This call may be just loud enough for me to hear at 100 yards so the boar should have no issue with volume. There’s also a nice power switch on the volume wheel so you don’t bump the device and set it off. The calls themselves last over 10 seconds, and I didn’t want to continue to anger my dog much longer but they may actually be continuous loops no worries though, they can be turned off by pressing the button for that call again or turning off the device. The mounting options are limited seeing as there is a plastic loop on top for a non included lanyard and nothing else. I would’ve liked to at least have seen the option to mount a clip like the older model. I love the rubber grips around the edge it’s a really nice touch. And finally, about the sound quality. This will depend on what volume level you have it at but it’s probably a 5-7 out of 10. It’s has that same cheap sound to it that you find in a McDonald’s toy while also being fairly clear sounding it’s a weird experience. Regardless this wasn’t meant to help me feel the beat, it’s meant to call boar and I think it’s clear enough for them (no static or anything it just has zero bass at all). I hope it works but it also didn’t make me skeptical to return it (once I try it I won’t be bringing it back home so I’d have to return based on build quality).

Sound is hollow and of very low quality
I purchased this for two reasons, the first being out of curiosity to see what these electronic devices sound like. The second reason was, it was cheap enough to satisfy my curiosity.I’m sure they’re much better electronic calls out there, but this one has a long, very long way to go.The volume is massive, which is a good thing. The quality of the recordings has so much background noise in it. You would think it’s 1953 and you’re listening to it on am radio. The am radio was probably better sounding.I would not purchase this unless you pet your deer in the evenings while playing this like Pavlov’s dog.
