This doll has a nice heavyweight feel, and a beautiful little face. She lays/sits just like a little newborn, which is perfect for a child learning to hold a real baby. She's got really detailed hands and nails. A cute and fun toy for anyone looking for a doll. In a way she seems a little expensive for a baby doll, but she's so much cuter than the ones you get at big box stores, so there's that.

Somewhere along the line, my order was changed from a medium complexion doll to a white one. This poor little Latin girl is now bonded with a white doll. It arrived on Christmas Eve so I was presented with a dilemma, do I give this 4-year-old little girl nothing for Christmas or give her a white doll. I don't like the message that gives her but she had to have a Xmas gift. Extremely disappointed. I can't return the doll. She has already bonded with it. I should definitely get a refund, though!

Size is realistic, the value is more than I expected, my granddaughter’s play with them all the time. I bought 2, no fighting and am very glad I did. Heirloom quality. Beautifully crafted.

The weight and softness of this doll compares to a real baby. Much less stiff than other baby dolls. Our daughters played with their Madam Alexander baby dolls for years and already this one is a favorite for my granddaughter.

I loved how well made this product is. The accessories are so soft and I think my 3 year old granddaughter will love her.

Beautiful, collectible, playable. Daughter had a doll when she was young and now my granddaughter has one as well.

My girl loves her baby

I am saddened to write this review. As a doll collector, I have always admired the quality of Madame Alexander dolls. However, this little baby falls short of my expectations. I was excited about the new "collector" style box and the new medium skin tone. The box my doll came in was all scratched up, and I would not have been pleased if I had intended on giving this doll as a gift to someone. After opening the box, I noticed right away that the doll had some type of ink on both of her hands. I also discovered some black stuff on her neck and more ink on her toes. There was also no birth certificate as the description states. Where is the attention to detail that Madame Alexander once strived for? The original price was around $70 when these dolls came out, and I thought it was high. I purchased my doll at a sale price, but I still think I paid way too much for the low quality doll I received.
