These are incredible for applying eye shadow! I've tried makeup brushes, but the foam applicators provide so much more control. The problem with most foam applicators though (whether it's the ones that come with the shadow or purchased separately) is that they're made so cheaply. They either fall apart long before the shadow is done, or the foam is so cheap you can't get good/even coverage. I've looked all over for something with higher quality....this is it!Great, high quality material and construction, and they're sturdy enough to be washed. The price was so great I'm going to buy several more now so I have a long term supply for me and my daughters.

These are pretty small, but good for detailed application of pastel- They should work as intended- Will order again

Wow they make my pastel work much easier to use. The size is perfect. They glide right on the paper blending the pastel so smoothly. I will be buying more. I don’t know if they are washable. But will try to wash them with a mild soap.

These are great! They apply eye shadow smoothly and evenly, and even after a long time using them, they don't start to come apart or come off of the handle, like some of the cheap ones. The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is that the sponge is a little wide, which makes it a little difficult to put shadow just on the lid portion (if you're going for the two-tone or tri-tone look). Otherwise, these are great and you can't beat the price!

For me, these are great for rimming my lower lashes to achieve a smokey eye shadow look, and to use my black eyeshadow as a softer eyeliner on my upper lid, I can't vouch how well these apply eyeshadow over your entire eyelid because I prefer using my fingertip. Extremely durable, and I clean mine after each use with a wet wipe and it has yet to fall apart after weeks of use. Those cheap eyeshadow applicators that come with your eyeshadow go straight to the garbage can now. I expect that this package should last me a long time!

These far exceeded my expectations. I am so sick of the little pads falling off my eyeshadow brushes (the ones that come in the kits). These are actually attached to the handle and so they do not come attached (novel idea, right...?) I replaced my broken eyeshadow brushes with these, and they all fit in the cases. The pad is soft like memory foam and the eyeshadow sticks to it well. They are great for applying eye shadow and do not cause irritation. You get a lot for your money with this product: 12 applicators come in a reusable plastic baggie (it re-sticks closed). I would definitely repurchase, but I won't have to for a very long time!

These work great with PanPastels, in fact, they're a must. I can't for the life of me understand why some are giving bad reviews because they're not liking these for eyeshadow application. That's not what they're for. They're an art supply. They're not a makeup applicator (though I think they'd probably be great for that too). I tried to cheap out and buy disposable makeup applicators to use with the PanPastels and they were awful. So, it goes both ways...use the right tool for the job! :)

These applicators appear and feel to be nice quality. The foam head is very soft. They come in a nice package and are reasonably priced. The reason I am only giving these 3 stars is because they do not work well at applying eyeshadow. They seem to hold all of the color in the applicator allowing very little to go onto the eyelid. No matter howMuch eyeshadow I added to the applicator I wouldn’t get it to apply well enough go to my eye to be acceptable. I think these would actually work better at taking off makeup! Overall, I wouldn’t recommend.
