Excellent signal. Very bright and very high and can be used in a trip wire setting for safety around a campsite. Do not use in dry timber as you will start a forest fire.Works great with Fith ops kit which also works with a 209 primer or .22 nail gun blank from a place like Home Depot.

These are good for full three boating seasons. You always wonder the age of products like this - have they been sitting in a warehouse for two years and about to expire? I ordered these aerial flares in April 2023 and the package I received doesn't expire until February 2026 - meaning I will get three full boating seasons before they expire. I also got them for a very good price of $36.09. I have typically paid $40 - $45 for these flares in previous years.I like they way Orion packages these in the little sealed bag vs the blister pack they used to use. I think it gives them a little better protection in a wet environment and it is also a little more compact.One suggestion (I think most people already know this - but maybe not everyone) When you purchase new Aerial flares - keep the old set in your boat as well - they will probably still work. You may need to shoot 4-5-6 of them before another boater sees you. Just be sure to keep the new flares with the gun or the Coast Guard may issue you a ticket.Purchase these here on Amazon with confidence
