They come dirty but it's also a really easy clean with a rinse with water. They are beautiful when cleaned, they're also a decent size up to about a quarter (at least what I got) and through one of them you can see the red color with a flashlight. (The red appears much brighter and strawberry than the real appearance of deep red)

These rocks are of good size and quality. They were packaged pretty well also. They arrived dirty of course, but that's to be expected. So, I washed them up and put a layer of clear top coat nail polish on them and they revealed a beautiful red. I would definitely buy again.

The stones received were nowhere near as large as the pics on Amazon. Mostly about the size of a nickel. BUT they were fairly decent quality. Not completely translucent. by any means, but they do show some nice reds when cut

Not at all as pictured. Two of the four stones arrived broken in half and the color is very dull. They did offer to replace them, but the size is much smaller than expected. I hope you have better luck with your order. They do seem to be some type of garnet, which kind I’m not certain. If they were larger I would have kept them.
