I got laser surgery to correct the distance. But the issue is that I am constantly pulling out reading glasses to see menus or text messages, read fine print. It's a pain to have to carry around even a cheap pair of reading glasses. You have dig out a case with standard readers, read for a quick second, put them back in vase and carry. This on the other hand is perfect and I love that it's small, convenient, and easy to wear. Or have in your pocket for quick use and return, especially if you are traveling.Quick wins for portability, scale, convenience, ease of use, and it looks like a peice of jewelry. Put a really nice chain and never worry about the strings breaking, or coming undone and upscale this cool idea.

These are fine. They are more of a little two lens magnifiers than glasses. They come with a tin case, wipe cloth, and cute screw driver that opens to give you access to both kinds of screwdriver. These lens are not something to put on your nose, because the circles aren’t far enough apart. If you hold them 6 inches or so from the item you are reading and shut whichever eye you aren’t using, it’s great to read medicine bottles or menu descriptions. CORD: You lengthen the black cord by holding your fingernail on the tiny knot where the two ends are threaded through, pull the cord until you have them where you want them. See my photos, when lengthened it puts the little glasses circle at my chest. I had plenty of room to put my head through the loop. And room enough to hold the glasses at the distance I needed to make words readable. They are better than nothing and better than digging my reader glasses out to read labels in the store or restaurant. For this price, I’ll keep them.

I can't wear things on my face or in my eyes, so these work great instead. Also the magnification increases when folded over so can look through them folded together when I want more of a magnifying glass effect. Folded out for 2 lenses it works better for reading and such, just like glasses that you hold up to your face--without the arms for ears in the way.The string it comes with is not useful, but I didn't want to use that anyway. I had my own in mind. I put a clock pendant that matches it on one side and this on the other. I usually wear it with this in front and the clock in back, and they counter weight each other so they don't sit against the back of my neck. This is great because I can't wear wrist watches either, and the back of my neck has issues with necklaces otherwise. This has solved many issues all at once for me.I thought I would have liked it without the extra extension and large hole for hanging, but find it is really nice for putting my finger into when using it (and also when figiting, which I am prone to do--this keeps the lenses cleaner than they'd be without it).The colors go great with blacks, browns, blues, goldens, and pretty much everything I wear that isn't formal. I still wear it with formal things, just underneath.

I like that its a round piece of glass...What I don't like is the misleading way its presented...This is not a monocle it is a reading eye piece. Its 2 inches no matter what the measurement tells u the sticker is a dang lie lol its 2 inches no matter what you order cus i ordered a 1 inch and i have a measuring tape that says 2 inchs when i place it from one end to the other...so this whole thing is a LIE! its a 2inch piece of whatever...

I have separate glasses for distance, computer, and reading. For quick, brief reading (like a label on something), swapping my distance glasses for reading glasses is a hassle. I keep these folding lenses around my neck with the lense-portion in a pocket for extra protection of the lens surface and against losing them, and can now simply pull them out for a moment if I need them. I do recommend changing out the cord for something more durable. The one I got has two parts that frequently and easily separate from one another, thus risking dropping resulting in damage or loss. I replaced the cord and no longer have to worry about that.

I wasn't able to get this anywhere near over my head! I'm not able to adjust it either!

Incredibly handy and very cute! I've gotten tons of compliments in the first week I've been using them. The cord is a little bit short for me but it's not a big deal. The two pairs at this price is a great value for the money Recommend!

I use as a magnifying glass/reader, so got a -4 (the strongest). Perfect because I had LASIK surgery to see distance with one eye and close up with the other, so drugstore cheaters will not work for me when I need just a little bit of extra help reading the tiny print of labels. This is perfect and always where I can find it, around my neck. Am able to use for my purposes while wearing. Stylish and well made. Already a friend went crazy for mine and I ordered her one. The “chain” appears to be leather. Love everything about it.
