Does this work on Diesel engines with quick disconnect oil drain plug fittings?

it works on the fitting that look like the picture posted, however there is more than 1 thread size for this brand(aeroquip), and it may not work with other manufacturers quick drain plugs. Your best option is to buy both the male and female parts so you know it will work. I use mine on a thermoking reefer trailer motor, and purchased a clear plastic hose from home depot to drain the fluid into a container.

this description is misleading. I only received the coupling but not the all the parts as shown in the figure. is this a mistake?

the coupling is the only part you get. i believe it was stated in the text if i remember correctly. the male part is ordered separately
