Great it was a gift but they loved it

Great set, however i missed the algebraic chess board notation, is important to have it, especially during tournaments. Though 1.d4, 2. e5 everyone remembers, but , say, Nf3 (in blitz game) is more difficult. Again, set itself is great and double Queens great idea for pawn promotion.

It was a great gift for my daughter of 7 years old. She was very happy because the product is beautiful and have a good size.

I highly recommend getting the same brand just magnetic. This is a chess set for travel.. which means you’ll probably play outside at some point and the wind will blow over your entire game without the magnets holding them down.On a calm day this non-magnetic chess set is fine but I live in a low wind area and still prefer the magnetic!
