1500 L capacity per 1 piece (filter) gives you 1000 days of clean drinking water if you dink 1.5 L per day (a very realistic scenario in survival conditions). How much is 1000 days? It is exactly 2 years and 9 months of clean, drinking water. So, if you purchase a bulk of 4 filters, you have: 1000 days for a family of 4 or 2000 days (5 years 6 months) for a couple or 4000 days (11 years just for yourself). Please, mind that the label says the shelf-life of this filter is 5 years. I am pretty sure it still functions after date of expiry but perhaps its efficiency may be impaired. This is an amazing product for the price if you thin about it, what it provides you with. VALUE 4 MONEY! Money well-spent. I do recommend this product.

I bought 3. I can say they are a useful size for carrying, using and storing. I've used one, the others are spares. Used when drinking from streams and springs in the UK Peak District. Very drinkable although the water still retains a `peaty' flavour due to the local geography. No internal issues so must conclude they work! I'd suggest every hiker carrys one. You never know when you might need one and it doesn't add to your walking load or take up space.

Great for its price! Its easy to use and works it still tastes like a bit of mud but it's still drinkable the only issue is when you suck it out directly it takes a while and hurts my lips but you can squeeze it out with an old coke bottle or a water pouch! comes with instructions and is very easy to use! Great quality and is half the price of the original brand life straw!

Excellent. I have been carrying one of these for over a decade. Never needed to use it. And then I noticed, it expired 6 years ago. I had to buy this replacement icon. Recommended.

Not a really useful review as not yet used but got for prepper purposes. Seems quite practical and very portable. Have this and another brand as clean water is the most vital thing after clean air.
