Nice sound and look
I ride two different bikes on the same trail, swarmed by cyclists who ride 2+ abreast at walking speed so I need to use the bell quite often. On one bike I have this E-ne bell because it fits great with an unpainted metal frame and a different make bell on another, a matte painted plastic bike, where a painted bell goes with the frame colors. What I noticed is that the E-ne gets quicker attention from a farther distance even while I don't feel it's louder than the other bell. The timbre is definitely different though. The hammer on this bell is quite sensitive to the direction of the pull as I found out and it helps to install it so the hammer is horizontal on top and you pull it down. It might not ring at all if you pull even slightly to the side - not the best design but did not take long to get used to. Flexible clamp is great for non-round bars, like the one I have and the plastic around the clamp is a nice touch. Do not notice any wear on the clamp or the bar underneath it. I had it for several months and it still works and does not suffer from a bent hammer or detaching clamp, only developed some patina on the brass surface so seem to be well made.

Awesomely Great!
Hands down better than the rock bros version of this same bell. This is pure quality and built with purpose. I hate saying it, but it's worth the money when compared to what's out there on the market. The sound is more traditional though. Unlike the super hi-pitched market options that work some time. It also just looks really nice!! Happy with my purchase and never missed a ring or ding or whatever sounds these bells make, haha.

Nice vintage look
Classy bell with a subtle chime. Easy to mount on my 1975 Zeus

Beautiful materials, high quality
I was looking for a unique bell for my new e-bike, something aesthetically pleasing and with a nice sound. I happened to come across this bell, and I was immediately struck by the beauty of the copper bell. I'd say the audio recordings of the sound are accurate. The bell has a nice clear, ringing tone, but something (maybe the clapper or mount) causes a little distortion. Weirdly, my husband's much cheaper Aventon bell has a similar tone (slightly higher), and cleaner ring, but it does have plastic parts and is all black. I'm keeping mine because of the distinctive look, and still nice-sounding tone. Super easy to install and fits really well in the small space I have on my handlebars. I was able to tilt it forward so it doesn't cover my gear indicators and still in easy reach of my thumb. NOTE: I found the packaging to be really bizarre. I had to completely rip apart the cardboard to get the bell out of the package (definitely not an Apple-like, easy-open box). The black loop you see on the bottom is NOT a fastener (I almost tried to cut it); it's the mounting strap for the bell itself, and comes out by removing the cardboard spacer, squeezing the loop to disengage the hooks, and pulling it out of the bell.

Maybe Better Than the Spurcycle!
I've had a Spurcycle bell on my road bike for years and its clear, bright sustaining tone always brings a smile to my face (and seems to keep me safer too). I decided to try the E-ne bell mainly because I couldn't justify spending $60-70 for another Spurcycle, this time for my gravel bike (and I really wanted the $70 black version). Aside from the E-ne being noticeably bigger (but not obnoxiously so) I think I like it better than the Spurcycle. It's tone is just as clear & loud and almost as sustaining as the Spurcycle, but it's pitch is somewhat lower which I think makes it easier to hear (especially by those who've had some high-frequency hearing loss) and/or is more-quickly perceived as a bike bell vs. something else. The other positives of the E-ne vs. the Spurcycle are: 1) A wider variety of finishes, 2) The metal band is vinyl-coated (I added some heat-shrink tubing to the band on my Spurcycle so that it doesn't mar my handlebar finish), 3) The vinyl-coated "feet" on the underside of the bell's dome works better than the rubber shim on the Spurcycle which tends to move out of place when tightening it down, 4) The hammer has a lighter touch & its solid shape works better with my thumb vs. the Spurcycle's "paper clip" shaped hammer, and 5) Oh yeah it costs about 50% less!

Loud and clear! Great little bell.
I love this bell. I wanted something unique and well made that would outlast my new ebike so after reading tons of reviews I decided on this. It's super loud if you pull the hammer all the way back. The brass color is gorgeous and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. It's easy to install and took about three minutes at most.

Ideal compact bell for almost every folding bike
This bike was my second attempt at "bell nirvana." I want something honest, something beautiful, something that makes me smile when I ring it. This bell is that something. When i got a Brompton, I was let down by the stock bell. For a $2000 bike, it has a ridiculously crappy bell. It has a fiddly spring that results in a sad "tink." My first attempt was the excellent crane Suzu- big, bold, beautiful. The Suzu is the bell that made Crane famous, and has a pure beautiful sound. Sadly, it didn't fit on my brompton. The E-ne is equally beautiful and honest. It's a cheerful declaration of your presence....and rings for over a minute This lingering ring helps pedestrians better gauge your presence due to echolocation. However, much more compact. I've put it on my sister's birthday present. It's honest. It's small. It's wonderfully made. I hope it brings her job, like it did me.

The bell has a great tone and depending on how hard you choose to depress the striker lever you can vary from fairly soft to loud enough to easily be heard quite far ahead of you. The workmanship is excellent and the unit is a treat to own.
