Oil-based cleansing is one of the fastest growing approaches to natural skincare. It has been popular in the Far East for generations, but has only recently hit U.S. shores. Fans rave about its ability to reduce greasiness, combat dryness, reduce blemishes, and naturally moisture levels .Argan Oil & The Oil Cleansing Method Argan oil isn't the only oil that can be used in the oil cleansing method. But it's the most popular - it is light and fast-absorbing, which makes it nourishing but doesn't clog pores. - Jenny Sahara has you covered - they've sourced a high-grade, cold-pressed argan oil direct from Morocco. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away. - This 2oz bottle will last you months, because a little goes a long way.Detergent-based vs. Oil-based approach to skincare? The idea of using oil on your face can seem daunting at first. The skincare industry would sooner have you think that oil and skin do not mix. They are motivated to say this - they're bottom line relies on selling you complicated formulations.» Typical cleansers contain detergents which are very good at cleaning your skin. But therein lies the problem - they are too good at what they do, they are overkill. The detergents strip away all the good stuff from your skin along with the bad stuff. It's why your face feels very clean after cleansing, but also desperate for moisture. » Oil cleansing, on the other hand, works by dissolving the impurities and grease, because only oil itself can dissolve another oil. It's called "Dissolution". It's a radical departure from the detergent-based model of the skincare industry. And it works.JOIN THE OIL CLEANSING MOVEMENT - click "Add to Cart" now.

Argan Oil + Oil Cleansing = Skin Happiness
These guys have a new customer for life. Before I talk about my experience with the argan oil itself, I want to give a big thumbs up to Jenny Sahara and their awesome customer service. 3 examples:1) The website links on the bottle are really useful. They take you to a full explanation of the oil cleansing method and how to use the argan oil.2) I had a couple of questions which I emailed them about, and one of the owners replied within minutes with a really in-depth answer.3) They even sent me a handwritten thank you note for being one of their first customers! They're really on the ball. Now, on to the argan oil...I know a lot of people use argan oil on their hair, but I bought this for my face. Specifically, to use as part of the oil cleansing method (more on that shortly). So stop reading now if you're looking for hair reviews.I have that complicated dry/oily skin type where my face always feels too dry then my body overcompensates by becoming too oily. Leads to quite a few blemishes.Oil cleansing method...I've tried all sorts of skincare regimens with not that much success. I won't go bore you with all the details. I came across the oil cleansing method which is popular among the girls who hang out in the SkincareAddiction forum on reddit, but initially I was too scared to give it a go, because, well, putting more oil on my oily face kinda freaked me out.Take my advice...Embrace the oil cleansing method! Don't let it freak you out, just give it a go. Worst case scenario is it doesn't work for you and you move on. But my skin loves it! It's like it has found that happy middle ground between being too dry and being too oily. Like it's found its balance again after all these years. You can use any one of a number of different oils, like olive oil, castor oil etc, but a lot of girls seem to have had good experiences with argan oil. So that's what I've stuck with. And of the argan oils, they recommend Jenny Sahara's, which is why I got it and why I'm now writing this. I did a bunch of research, but I decided in the end not to reinvent the wheel. There's plenty of info out there already on the oil cleansing method so I won't go into it here. The basic theory is that most cleansers are too aggressive and leave your skin too dry. But using an oil absorbs dirt and grease without removing all the good stuff from your skin.I wish I could post before and after pictures here to show you the results! One quick tip...Others recommend using the argan oil on a warm cotton wash cloth to cleanse your skin with, but I've had better results with those small microfiber towels you can get in Walmart/Target. Oh, and once you've cleansed with it, apply a tiny amount of fresh oil as your moisturizer. Not too much though, a little goes a long way.

Argan oil
Honestly I don't think it's the best cleansing oil but I like adding a couple of drops to my moisturizer

skin changer!
I bought this last year and never wrote a review but almost a year later and I still have it and using it! I use this as my moisturizor day and night and it's amazing makes my skin so soft and my pores so small. I live in colorado so it's very dry here and this saves my skin from the winter. I put about 6 drops all over my face probably more than normal but otherwise it wouldn't work and my skin would be so dry. Overall this product is amazing and has changed my skin for the better!

Good for hair and eye makeup removal.
I use this for my hair, and it makes it very shiny and soft. Before I shampoo, I massage this into the ends of my hair for 30 minutes. Then after I wash my hair, I massage a small amount into the ends of my damp hair again. This argan oil is very good for removing eye makeup as well, just keep the soaked cotton pad on the makeup for 30 seconds and then rinse off. And, you do not need to use a lot, for the hair or skin. A little bit goes a long way.

I’m a regular reader over at /skincareaddiction on reddit and decided to try OCM (oil cleansing method). It is seriously life changing… well, at least for my skin! My only regret is that I did not try it sooner. The oil smells a little nutty which is exactly what it is supposed to smell like. I trust the quality of this oil, mainly because Jenny Sahara was started by a redditor based on their success with OCM. So they are involved in the skincare community and not just some random company.
