Works like a charm!
It was a breeze to setup using car-specific instructions found on HomeLink website (they were quite different for each car in my case), then the leaflet included in the box. The same unit works with two different openers—I simply followed the procedure twice, once for each door & corresponding button in the car. Just like with the older, pre-2012 units, HomeLink buttons seem to lag behind the ugly remote that came with the opener, but I don’t mind & gladly trade the 1 or 2 seconds longer press for the clean sun visor look.

Easy to set up
I was surprised that my brand new 2023 Mazda and my 2 year old garage door motor would not communicate, something about the HomeLink system being changed to comply with FCC rules, I don't know. This repeater kit works perfect though. It literally set up in 2 minutes. A handy thing about most garage door motors is that they are usually plugged into a dedicated outlet in the ceiling, so that's the perfect place to plug in this repeater box.The seller shipped quickly too, appreciate that.

Honest review
This will work with any garage door with a YELLOW learn button. I've tested and tried with our lift master and boom, bingo no more going through the front door when the battery dies from our opener. Now I can use this with our garage link system in our terrain, f150 and motorcycles. At first we had a problem with signaling the door to open , my advice would be to program it with the vehicles OUTSIDE the garage. Do not try to program it inside the garage. It will work but as soon as you leave out it will have interference and not work so well. My husband reprogrammed it fromthe driveway and boom no more problems with signaling. I truly recommend this to those who have a lift master or any YELLOW learn button opener and a built in garage opener in your car that won't program to the garage opener itself.

Fail - don't bother hope you didn't already buy your opener
1st, shame on Chamberlain for selling garage door openers that are not even compatible with cars more than a few years old, second this thing is a PITA to even try to get working. 2nd, after multiple tries, following both instructions for the booster and the car (2011 Nissan) I got it to work twice then nothing. So what I get out of this is once you set it up good luck keeping it working. Also I think it "resets" if the power goes out. Total engineering failure.

Easy To Install
Followed the very good directions and had it working in 10 minutes.

Must use learn button on actual opener-not wall control
We have two new Liftmaster openers and I was able to program Homelink for both on my wife's newer car using the learn button on the wall control with no problem. I assumed this would also work with the Homelink 855LM repeater kit. It doesn't. After multiple failed attempts and initiating an Amazon return for the item I decided to give it one more try using the yellow learn button on the opener itself. It worked immediately and the range seemed to be pretty good. It doesn't make sense that the wall control learn button doesn't work with the repeater, but it did not for me.Yes, the directions say to press the learn button on the opener, but I suspect some of the reviews saying the product didn't work are due to people making the same mistake I did. Chamberlain / Homelink should clarify the instructions for this item, or even better, make it so the wall control button works also.

Was required for my Subaru opener
This was required to allow my 2008 subaru legacy to connect to our garage door opener. Easy to set up, occasionally requires an extra click of the car to open the garage, though that could easily be an issue with my car as well.

Works but nightmare to install
I do not have a lot of respect for companies like this. Dead battery in remote on arrival and no way to tell. We spent over an hour working on this. If you put a small light like most companies do we could see that you shipped it with a bad battery but not with this remote. I called HomeLink at 8 AM on a Monday, no one answered and then it says to call back during normal business hours but does not state what those are. Finally figured out the battery issue from another buyer with the same complaint. This is a company neglect issue. Recommend to look elsewhere if at all possible.
