Works as always
This is my go to yeast ( it does work almost in 5 days ) ( definitely get some clearing agent to kill the stink from turbo yeasts ) -- I've had knowledgable people actually tell me which jar had the clearing agent & which didn't & they got it right every time & they showed me the smell & taste difference - it's so cheap & only adds 1 day u gotta do it then rack off the top & you'll get only the best & leave those nasties behind ( smell it before you throw It down the drain --- it's all the bad smell u had while fermenting -- back to the yeast ---- I try to find it & buy extra when I find it at a reasonable price .. Sometimes it gets pretty pricey from odd vendors trying to rape u out of your money .. Ohio Brew is very reasonable & as always reliable .. I seam to always end up there .. I do shop around as much as I buy , but Ohio brew is my starting place and wins out most times cause of the quick shipping -- when I order it --- I want it ASAP & they don't sit on your order while it should be on the truck to my house like other odd / off brand newby companies that offer it a very small amount cheaper( u always get what u pay for -- there is a reason it's cheaper - close to out of expiration / short staffed & slow to ship -- whatever ) . I seam like I'm plugging Ohio brew after re reading this & I guess now I am -- anyway try them 1st -- even on amazon they are on top of it & u don't wait like I have trying to buy larger quantities a tiny bit cheaper --- the .5 cents u save ain't worth the wait .... After them go to Midwest Brew -- they are my #2 shop spot & they have 8 gallon fermenters buckets - as I do 8 gallon batches for my needs -- perfect for that 1 up need than the Home Depot 5 gallon home made we all have done at 1 time or another & still had to mix up 2 buckets full -- it's nice to mix it all in 1 (8 gallon ) bucket. OK I'm done standing on my soap box of who's got what & where. If u read this far then u are just as bored as I am for writing all this -- bye

Produces alcohol
This product produces as promised. However we need to pay close attention to the temperature range, The directions specify temp range very well. Usually in the first 36 hours the temp rises. You need to cool it back to mid - low 70s. I did it by floating 3 16 oz frozen water bottles in the mash. Temp came down from 79 to 73 and stayed there. If you can do that, the mash will ferment completely. Good luck

Perfect for sugar washes
The best yeast yeast for its intended purpose, high yield sugar washes. If you are thinking about using for beer or wine, I would rule this specialty yeast out due to a moderate off flavor produced and the cost. This said, it is absolutely perfect for its intended purpose!

Solid beginner's yeast
This stuff definitely works fast and efficiently. There is definitely some unpleasant tastes that come with the simplicity of this turbo yeast. If you aren't picky, it makes a some good likker. otherwise if you are trying to make something a little more top shelf, get away from this product.

Makes the best mead
I use this for making mead because after testing several yeast varieties, this seems to make the best tasting mead. Many people will say "don't use a turbo yeast for mead", but after trying several different varieties, i think the mead from this tastes better. Word of warning, follow the directions. This is a yeast/NUTRIENT mixture and you need to use exactly the proportions stated on the package for the best taste.

Worked perfect with a sugar wash...follow the rules!
Rule #1: Make sure everything is clean (use 1 cup bleach to 5 gallons to sanitize and rinse well). Rule #2: With city water, let sit overnight for chlorine to evaporate. Rule #3: Keep it at 70 degrees or higher, cover with a blanket or towel to keep dark, and don't use an airlock. I had 20% ABV in 7 days!!!!

Bad after taste
It did do well for alcohol rate but bad after taste in product. I hope aging will take it out. No I won't be back.
