A secure attachment: good quality, great price.
Yes, it's plastic. Yes, it feels a bit flimsy. Yes, it comes apart fairly easily when you've got it in your hand. However, I use it with a small, lightweight-ish Lumix G9X and a 12-60 lens. I find it fits easily on my belt, and gets the camera out of sight under my shirt. The camera is just heavy enough to "lean out," locking it into the holster. I carry the G9X with a wrist strap. As extra insurance, I bought a couple short lines to hook between my belt and the camera. However, I realized I could just wear the wrist strap while I walked. I've been walking all over the island of St Martin, and never once have I felt the camera was going to dislodge from the holster. I was at a street fair tonight, and was jostled and bumped repeatedly, and never felt I was about to lose the camera. I'm not climbing mountains, and I'm not in harsh weather. That said, I'm very happy with how this particular holster operates. Regardless of the make or cost, I'd still have a second way to secure my camera besides just a holster.

Not a bad item to have
The plastic is cheaply made and it doesn't always lock into place but it works for the most part and considering most other products like this are 5 times as expensive its worth saving a few bucks

Works but could be better
At this price point, it is OK. I like how simple this holster is. Easy to install and easy to put camera in and out of it. But it is also easy for the camera to slip out of the holster, especially when one sits down. There are two things that will make it perfect.1. It needs a way to lock. The camera can come out very easily if you are not careful. I find myself constantly holding the camera to reassure me it is not coming out, especially when I sit or bend down. There is a simple work around that will keep it secure, dropping a coin inside! Just make sure it is not too small a coin that you can't get it out. A quarter works for me.2. It need a camera tether that one can clip to the holster or a separate belt clip in case the camera slips off the holster.UDATED 12/7/2021I had only used this clip around the house so it seemed to work fine. However, I took it on a walk around with my friend and soon realized the lack of a locking mechanism is a big minus. I almost dropped my camera when squatting to take a low shot with my second camera. I am returning this and getting something with a locking mechanism.

Good for the price
I've since upgraded to a more expensive one, but for the price, this was was AWESOME. If you want to just have a less expensive option than some of the ones out there costing two to four times the price, this is a great one. There are lots of ways to carry your camera, but I found this one keeps it out of your way to walk and not be in front of you. It keeps it securely and reliably. It isn't as convenient as the more expensive options, but that's why you pay the money. That said, it is still convenient and flexible. My son is my apprentice and uses it now. He is able to still have the attachment for the holster while still mounting it to his tripod. It is a little bulky, but it works.

it almost would have worked... for a very lightweight camera... and a thin belt..
The belt loop opening was not large enough for the thickness of my belt. I couldn't put it on the belt of a fanny pack because there was no way to slip it over a wider buckle or belt. It's not a completely bad design, but not very sturdy, or trustworthy. If it slipped over a belt or strap and was thicker, and had a more robust 1/4-20 thread setup it would work nicely. The feature of pushing in and then pulling up is convenient, but it might be a good idea if there was a "safety" on it. If you have an inexpensive camera and don't want to carry it in your pocket... and of course if it has a tripod socket, it would be fine, but even with that I'd have a strap attached that I'd loop over the belt in case it disconnected. I am grateful for Amazon's easy return policy since interesting items like this aren't on the shelf at the very are local camera shops. Good idea, but very limited in practical use... redesign to slide over larger belts/straps with more secure material, and add a safety to prevent the camera from "jumping" out. It almost worked... so, back to searching and reading reviews to find a better design. Found one that you have to release to get out... that'd be awkward... having a "safety" that you can disable to get out easy would work... of course I haven't looked at the ones that cost as much as some cameras... :)

Extra security! Without full hands!
The media could not be loaded. I Love This! I shoot at my local race tracks. This combined with the harness i purchased works great as a secondary safety! Working duel cameras is hard if your hands are full! I'm currently purchasing another one! The bottom is able to be screwed into my harness bracket! It's fantastic!

Other than price, not good
It’s not practically usable if we do any kind of hiking or long hours use. Camera would come out easily when we sit, jump or move around a lot. This likely would work for you if use cases are somewhat stationary, indoor or in limited space. The key issue is there is no locking mechanism to keep camera in place. The 2nd issue for me is most of my belts have an end tip which is thicker than the holes, so it can’t go through. This limitation likely won’t work for most people.
