KONG - Naturals Catnip Spray for Cats - 1 Ounce

Awesome catnip spray that really works! I was not sure how my cats would react to the spray verses the catnip herb that they love so much but, I was pleasantly surprised! It worked like a charm. They really respond to it well and love it! I sprayed their toys to give it a test and they went crazy, just like they do when I crush up the catnip leaves and put it on their toys or their condo. Just one or two pumps of this spray is all that is required so the bottle will go a long way. The best part is that there is no clean-up required. I will continue to purchase this catnip spray for sure!

Cats give this 10 out of 5 stars. Two of my three spoiled, older cats love catnip in general, and Kong Naturals Catnip Spray in particular. (The third cat is very straight edge, does not get what all the fuse is about.) Aside from my cats loving it, I like Kong Naturals because the only ingredients are catnip oil and distilled water and it is made in the U.S. I am not opposed to imports, but I do want what I give my pets regulated and safe so I take extra precautions. It is a small bottle, but it is potent so a very little goes a long way so the value is fine. It lasts roughly a month and a half to two months. The spray is good because it is considerably less messy than loose leaf catnip that my cats (very adorably) roll around and coat themselves in, then get it all over the carpet, sofa, bed...I put a couple squirts of the Kong Catnip Spray on my cat's stuffed animal, and that is all she needs for the night. I usually only give catnip to my cats once/day, roughly every other day, because 1) they don't need to be high all the time (too much catnip can actually make cats aggressive) and 2) when I give it too them too often, they loose interest. Too much of anything gets boring.

This stuff definitely works for my 3 cats - they love it. In fact, one of them actually got a little aggressive with another to get at a toy sprayed with it - I'll have to see if this becomes a problem, and maybe restrict it to the scratching post, which has plenty of room for everybody at the same time. It's got a little pump-spray top that make it very convenient to apply a small, measured amount to just about anything, a definite advantage compared to dried catnip. I'm taking off one star because the online description doesn't include something stated on the label: "Approximately 70% of cats over the age of six months will respond favorably to catnip." This perfectly explains the 29% of 1, 2, & 3 star reviews from buyers whose cats either didn't react to this at all or just liked it a little. Amazon should include this in the description to avoid disappointing cat owners and - more importantly - cats!

In December 2011, I purchased an Omega Paw Ripple Board Scratch'n Massage Bed for my cats. It comes pretreated with catnip oil, and I thought it would be nice to have some extra on hand to refresh the box every now and then. I found KONG Naturals Catnip Spray for Cats at Amazon and ordered it. Although the bottle isn't very big, it seems a little goes a long way. My four cats love the way it smells! Not only do I use it to refresh the Omega bed, but I have started using it on other things, like their cat tree and other things I want them to scratch and lay on. Just a squirt every now and then keeps the kitties interested and I think they've started to recognize the sound of that little bottle. What I really like about the spray is it isn't messy like spreading the dried catnip is. I still use the dried catnip inside some toys, but now I use the spray to attract the cats to whatever I want them to pay attention to. I will definitely be restocking this catnip spray when my current bottle starts to dwindle.

Bought this in April 2018. It thrilled our older cat. After about a year the sprayer stopped working, even after cleaning the inside. The bottle was about half full and I don't use it much because I have to try to pour it down the side of the vertical scratching posts. This product is very good, the plastic bottle is sturdy, but the sprayer is poorly made.

Over time, I've bought countless cat toys, scratchers, and furniture pieces for my cats. Some they liked a lot, some they were mildly interested in, and many they just ignored. I tried scattering various kinds and brands of real catnip on these toys like my vet suggested, but my cats were utterly disinterested in any catnip. Finally, I tried the Kong Concentrated Catnip Spray, and it was like magic. Both of my cats were magnetically drawn to years old toys that they typically ignored. My cats were not only fascinated with everything I sprayed the catnip on, but were obsessed with them for weeks. It completely put a stop to some pretty awful carpet and furniture scratching. Now, all I have to do is spray a little catnip, and they even will sit in their carriers for hours! Unbelievable. I didn't think it was possible. Now, I always have a bottle on hand.

I buy mainly for the wacko that provides excellent entertainment when i spray his favorite toys. He rubs his face all over them, kicks them, bites them & holds in mouth & just sort of inhales the smell like a total junkie. It's fabulous. That's rmmate's cat. Mine just licks it off toys. Whatever works for him is fine. I have a different brand that comes in a roll on too but they really prefer the kong spray. It attracts both of them way more than other kind does. They love the powdered leaf form of the roll on brand tho (pet stages catnip shaker). Comes in what looks like a salt shaker. So, kong for spray but i don't care for their catnip. Full of sticks & many r sharp. Considering my cat eats catnip which is his main draw to it, I'm not interested in having him choke on sticks. I give him mostly finely ground catnip. Boughtt some good bulk 1's from amazon too. Maui wowee, thats what i call it. Grown in maui & bought him half a pound. Some Maine stuff & he really likes the shaker brand.

Ce produit est génial!!!! Un petit flacon vaporisateur, pas besoin d'en mettre beaucoup. J'ai 3 chats, j'ai aspergé 3 petites peluches et c'est parti pour la fiesta 😂 Chacun la sienne, ils se frottent dessus les enlacent, se tortillent comme des vers.Trop mignon et drôle à regarder 😊 Sur les 3 chats il y a 2 adultes de 2 ans et un chaton de 5 mois qui lui ne semble pas très sensible à l'odeur. Par contre pour les 2 adultes c'est la fête à Rio :) L'effet est immédiat, super produit que je recommande 👌
