As for the flies themselves, they work fine for the most part. I’ve used them on a few outings, and while they’ve caught fish, the construction isn’t the best. A couple of flies came apart after a few long fishing sessions, but you can’t expect top-tier craftsmanship at this price. For the most part, they’re good enough to get the job done and help you learn the ropes without breaking the bank. Overall, if you're just starting out or looking for a budget-friendly option, this kit is a solid choice. You get what you pay for, but the value is still there.

As a beginner when it comes to fly fishing, these are a great value while learning how to tie nots that keep the flies on the line. There is a good variety and multiple of each. Although I think they look great, the local trout seem to think otherwise as they haven't resulted in the capture of a nice slimey fish.

great quality, lots to choose from

the case alone is great. It’s water tight, the rubber seal is heavy duty, and you have to squeeze in order to latch it shut so you know it’s not getting anything inside. and the flys themselves are pretty good. There’s some classic and well known and proven flies in this kit as well as a good selection of nymphs, drys, and streamers and emerger fly patterns with good detail. all of which have different designs to match midges, mayflies stoneflies and caddisflies in their 3 life cycles. Also bees lol. great starter kit! also has some poppers for panfish
