It’s all true
First DSmith paint and I can see why this brand is preferred. High pigment and you don’t need to use much. Color is glorious!

Lovely texture and color
This is such a fun color. I have really been enjoying my experiments with it! Daniel Smith makes some of the highest quality and most unique shades of watercolor on the market. With each one being fairly inexpensive, it is so hard not to go nuts and buy them all!

Versatile! Gorgeous Texture! The Palette Staple I Didn't Know I Needed!
Exciting, Versatile, Silky Smooth... A palette staple, and I had no idea just how much it was needed. This subtle, seemingly dull shade actually works seamlessly to makes bright pigments more delicate. Add more than a bit, and you'll get a creamy, more gouache-like consistency. It provides endless color and texture possibilities. Florals and Botanicals, portraits, landscapes, architecture... It's endless! The combination of Buff Titanium with Quinacridone Rose is just stunning. Combine with strong, transparent yellows and/or neutrals... Gorgeous mixed - and convenience - greens... Thanks to it's versatility, I'd recommend (if you're able) investing a bit more. The 5ml tube is much too small! But, it goes without saying that whether hobbyist or pro, the contents of any 5ml tube is too pricey if you paint large scale, and/or a regular basis. This small tube won't last long. It's absolute perfection for my florals! I'm looking forward to trying with the super granulating effects of subtle Potter's Pink!

Beautiful color
Watercolor painting has made me appreciate ochre in a way I never had before. I like using Sakura pens too, and I can attest their paints are of the same high quality.

These come in different size tubes or pans or you buy palettes of the more widely used shades
I was waiting to receive this Daniel Smith watercolor as I am putting together pallets for Spring and Summer. DS paints are creamy and lovely to use with a myriad of colors and the greens are really worth having ,they are not transparent unless of course you add water . The texture is smooth, not sticky so altogether they are good value for your money.

Neutral Tint: Versatile Gray That Elevates Any Palette
I picked up this color to expand my Daniel Smith watercolor collection, and I’m so glad I did. Neutral Tint has always been one of my favorite grays because of how effortlessly it can shade, darken, and de-saturate other colors. I already own a neutral tint from another reputable brand, but I was curious to try Daniel Smith’s version due to its semi-transparent quality. After comparing them (see photos), the differences are clear: Daniel Smith’s Neutral Tint is noticeably lighter in value and non-staining, which gives it a softer, more adaptable feel on the page. It’s easy to lift, easy to layer, and blends beautifully without overwhelming other pigments. A great addition to any palette if you love versatile, easy-to-use grays.
