The little jacket that could!
After years and years of riding Harleys, I needed a tech jacket to look good on my sport bike. Something comfy, looking good (big guy here), and versatile. This jacket has been perfect. VERY adjustable with the belts and pockets. The zip out liner for when the months torn warm. LOTS of pockets. Looks good. Armor in the right places... AND it didn't break the bank!I've compared the materials and qulity to the Joe Rockets out there. Any differences in quality or workmanship is minimal. I'm VERY happy with this jacket and plan on wearing it often and proudly.

VERY SMALL. SIZE UP MORE THAN YOU'D THINK.
Got the jacket in and the quality is great, it's just too bad we had to return it for being way too small. Per the size chart my husband was a Large but we read the reviews and decided to go one size up. However, when we received it we realized even the XL was too small for him. He could barely zip it closed, even with the liner removed, and there's no way he could ride like that so it had to go back. Too bad, really, because it would have been perfect had the sizing been correct, the armor seemed high quality and he was happy with the construction. IF YOU ORDER THIS SIZE UP AT LEAST TWO SIZES. I measured him meticulously with a tailor's tape before ordering and even erring on the side of caution going up one size was not enough.

Buy the correct size. Big puffy arms.
I saw all these reviews that said to buy up a size. If you're a medium/regular sized human, don't do that. This is the second Xelement jacket I purchased (different models), and the second time that I discovered that you do NOT need to buy up a size. I usually wear a large. The X large was a little too big, the large fit correctly. I noticed a lot of the people saying to buy up a size were very large people. Maybe if you're a very large human you should buy up a size. That being said, I sent both jackets back because the arms were too large in proportion to the rest of the jacket. Big puffy arms, my girlfriend said I looked silly... like I was wearing a strong man costume. The adjustment straps on the sleeves have only one button, and it is only a fraction of in inch smaller, they do not reduce the size of the arms in any significant way. Appearances aside, the huge arms make the armor pads inside move all over the place.

Not amazing, but a good budget option for a big guy
I'm a big guy (I wear a 3XLTall t-shirt/54 suit) and I don't have a whole lot of selection for motorcycle jackets in this price point. Well, I only need one. I already have a big leather jacket so I bought this specifically to fill the warm-weather gap. Having read the reviews on here I knew to go 1-2 sizes larger, so I ordered the 4X Big.Let's get one thing clear -- I'm buying this specifically to use as a mesh jacket in 60 degree weather and up. It comes with a cool-weather liner, which I zipped out immediately; if I need to ride in cool weather I'm going directly to leather. With the liner, the jacket is too bulk, so I'll probably never zip it back in.It's decent. It's a little too small, I really could have gotten the 5X Big & been okay, but LeatherUp makes the return process difficult and I wanted to just ride, dammit. So I'm keeping it. In reality, it's snug but it fits well enough, and the material is tight to the skin so if I do have a high-speed getoff I know it's not moving around on me. My biggest complaint is I don't feel it's quite long enough. It's cut such that it has a trim fit when you're sitting on the bike -- longer in the back, shorter in the front. Walking around town, it comes halfway up my gut -- not a good look, so I just unzip it. But sitting on the bike, it fits like a dream. The mesh seems fine, it seems like it will be just durable enough to hold up to a slide once. At this price point, that's all it has to do. The padding is a little bulky at first, but once you're on the bike they fit fine and are comfortable enough. It keeps you comfortable up to about 90-95° so long as you are moving. Black is probably not the best choice with the sun overhead if you're going to stay still in traffic. For the price point, it's decent. It's most everything I hoped for in a mesh jacket. It's a jacket I can wear in moderate heat without sweltering underneath leather. That helps me wear ATGATT -- for that, it's good enough. I'm not in love with it. If I cared to spend another $300 I'm sure I could find something I'd like a whole lot better. But I don't and I won't, so this will do the job.

Great jacket fits perfect
After trying several jackets I finally found the one that fits perfect, length perfect, sleeves just right and multi-adjustable. The liner is easy to get out but putting it back is a little difficult due to the zipper, but overall I recommend this jacket. Iām 5ā9ā about 215lbs, 46-48 in. Chest and 38-40 waist.

You can't trust the size chart or the reviews.š
I am very disappointed in my purchase. The reviews say you can't trust the sizing and the reviews are correct. I ordered two sizes larger and it fits me like a garbage bag. It fits fine through the shoulders and the length of the arms. The jacket itself is okay, the price is not reasonable since you don't know what you're getting until you get it and you have to pay to ship it back. Spend your money on a sure thing, or at least something you can ship back for free if it doesn't fit.

Great value, great product.
I read the reviews and bought a jacket 2 sizes bigger that I normally would (3XL verses XL). It fit perfectly. It is light, cool and has the level 3 armor everywhere. It exceeds my expectations, keeps me cool and looks really nice as well. On top of that I couldn't beat the price anywhere.

position makes it cover fine, but unless you want to look ridiculous
I ordered a 4x, I wear 2x in normal clothes, and it's alright, other than in the front, if you stand up straight, it's not long enough to cover the bottom of your belly. Sitting on the bike, that's not that big an issue, position makes it cover fine, but unless you want to look ridiculous, I wouldn't wear it off the bike and into a store or the like. The rest of the story is pretty good, Zippers are a little stiff, but a little lube should take care of that, just the one flaw. If you don't have a belly, probably fine for you, but then if you don't, I doubt you would be ordering a 4x, anyway. One more inch of material on the bottom, and it would have been fine, Xelement, this is an easy opportunity to improve your product.
