Hair Straightener Straightening Flat Iron

I discredited this product as a viable option initially after seeing the price alone. I thought the reviews were probably so amazing based on the price... i.e. It's a great $20 straightener. I didn't think it'd be able to hold a candle to a $200 straightener, though. This straightener is able to hold its own, though, and is greatly under-priced.After using it for the past month, I can say that it is - by far - the best straightener I have ever owned or tried... and I have tried a lot. From GHD and Babyliss all the way to CHI and other brands, it is by far my favorite. It gets hot quick, I'm able to run over my extremely thick hair with a single pass, and it has been able to take a beating.

My hair is not curly but rather just wavy, and my hairdresser suggested I try a flat iron to smooth it. This is the first one I've ever had, and I wonder why it took me so long to try one. I doubt that all flat irons are equal, and this one is great. Heats quickly, easy to hold and use, and does just what I need wonderfully, at a great price. If you need a flat iron, this is the one to get!

This one heats up quickly and glides through my hair. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 is because of the power button is on the inside of the the flatiron. I'm always concerned that I may burn myself when I'm turning the heat up or down.

Unfortunately there was nothing about this product that worked well for me. I have very curly hair that straightens very easily with a chi or fhi flat iron so when I read the other reviewes I was excited to try it and save a little money.It didn't get hot enough for my hair type. When I put a section through I had to clamp down hard or it wouldn't do the little it did. It tugged at my hair when it got to the ends and it would be very annoying. Then it dried my hair out and made it look dull and the ends appeared fried.I had to return it and wound up getting a chi from Ulta with their 20% off coupon.

Unfortunately by the time this product stopped working i wasnt able to get my money back. I LOVED this straighter. It worked very quickly and well on my curly thick hair. After a few short months it started giving off a bad burning smell as soon as i turned it on. Now if i use it my hair is left greasy and smelly. I dont recommend this product. With amazon you only get 30 days to return.. i tried contacting the company but couldn't find any contact info. super weird i feel cheated.

Best flat iron I've ever seen for the price! No snagging or pulling. Good variety of heat settings. Controls in good location so you don't bump or accidentally change them.I did not receive any instruction book or paperwork in box however, so I'm still figuring out how the memory works. Not a problem however.ADDENDUM TO THIS REVIEW...I received an email from the company after submitting this (NON complaining) review. They were extremely helpful and actually explained the settings to me in the message. The warm and personal service from AmoVee is extraordinary! They truly appreciate your business and understand customer service.Again, I cannot emphasize how much I like this hair straightener. My sister is a hair stylist & ive had several professional flat irons & also several conairs Remington's & cheap flat irons. it's not nearly as good as the professional (chi, epic) but it's WAY better than any of those cheaper brands. It's awesome it doesn't pull your hair goes so smooth, straightens good. It's a decent size. Straightens my curly frizzy hair. I had been using a Remington flat iron & when I used this one everyone said wow your hair is so much more straight today. the temperature is on the inside so you won't knock it while you're trying to straighten. It's made strong & sturdy. Also, it came with a cute little mirror that I keep in my purse :)

Works good for my fine hair but I don't think it would be as good on someone who has thick hair. The cord is very thing and flimsy so if you don't take good care of it I can see it breaking.
