Perfect for Sports when paired with the right headphones
I use these as a soccer referee. When paired with Shokz BT headphones (OpenComm with the boom microphone), they are excellent for in-game communication. Since the Shokz are bone conduction, you'll still have full use of both ears-- even when someone is talking. There's also some noise cancellation going on, so you won't hear a full volume whistle, etc. Reception is generally great, though there is occasional interference at some venues (infrequent and doesn't restrict use of the system. Occasionally annoying, however.)Because these are connected to the headphone via Bluetooth, you don't have any wires. You can put this reciever anywhere -- though the upper arm or upper body appears to work well. Along with the stability of the headset, you have a system that moves with you, and one that you don't need to adjust or put back in every 2 minutes. It's like they were designed to facilitate what referees do -- even if that's not what they were built for. That said, these are the best set of referee coms I've used, and I've experienced almost all of them. The only complaint, and it's a small one, would be to eliminate the longer antenna and maybe find a way to run one around the outside of the module to cut down on the form factor. But other than that, these are fantastic.

Excellent answer for my intended function
So, my goal was a simple way the family could talk to me from the chase vehicle. This was the answer for me. This paired with a Bluetooth speaker phone and bingo. They talk freely without interrupting their vibe with a headset on and I can converse back as if they are my passenger. Also having it handy to toss to a buddy rider is cool too since they can just use their own headset. Be warned, their sound quality is reliant on their headset. So, for intended use, a win. Yet to road test it much but time will tell. At least the backbone of my solution is there.

does the job, but tempermental
I bought 2 of these for use with each other. They basically work, but have a couple annoyances.First is that you have to power on the bluetooth headset first, and then power on the Meshport. If you don't, it won't automatically connect. You'll either have to put it into pairing mode, or power cycle it. Easy enough to deal with once you've figured that out. But really annoying having to explain to people using the other device.Second is that the functional distance (the distance between Meshport devices, not the bluetooth device) is nowhere near as advertised (0.5 miles). In reality, I get about 30 yards with perfect signal. Beyond that it starts to get choppy. Still usable for the distance I tend to use them at (up to about 80 yards), but do have to often ask the other person to repeat themselves. And I have clear line of sight with no obstacles between the devices.

perfect gizmo to link Cardo and Sena helmet communicators
Although it is not the intended purpose, this adapter can be linked on a Cardo headset as a second phone and link to friends who use Sena. as long as you set the channel first via the app
