Awesome
This is an amazing buttset, it has a speaker phone and a LCD screen. You can use the LCD to get a voltage read on the pairs, and also to capture DTMF tones. This helps when you want to see what is being dialed, for instance from an automated dialer. It has a memory, speed dial, and DSL filter built in. The hook is reversible, you can lock it in place, and switch from top to bottom of buttset. Cord is easily replaceable. Great quality. Only annoyance is the cordset has both alligator clips and an RJ11 cable which is great, but the cables often get all tangled up.

Incredibly frustrating Lockout Mode
I've been doing telco work for a lot of years. I bought this because it seems to be the best of the best. However, it is incredibly frustrating. It seems to OFTEN get stuck in "Lockout" mode ("Data detection and lockout in Talk mode"). This is supposedly to help keep you from interfering with any data circuits (T1 and DSL), but these days those are rare. We seldom encounter this, and I wish there was a way to turn off this "feature". Unfortunately it has cost me a ton of time while I fought with my own butt set and I wish I had not purchased it. It goes into this mode often all by itself, even when it seems I'm not going near any data circuits. (Hopefully Fluke can suggest a way to avoid this.) Otherwise, I like that it shows me voltages on the line I'm tapping into.

Fantastic service
I was looking for a new test set to replace the one I lost after 10 years or so. I wanted one that I could use as a speakerphone and also had the new bells and whistles that keep me from blowing someone off the network if I should hit a data line by accident. I found this top of the line unit and bought it.It came in perfect order everything included was in proper order. Put it to work right away and was having fun learning what this can do.1. caller id on a test set is fantastic, necessary no, but fantastic.2. lighted dial and backscreen, already has been a stress reducer in dark phone rooms etc.3. Speaker phone havent really used it yet but I did test it and it worked well.4. ever wonder what the voltages were on the line that you were working with, well not anymore. this feature already saved hours of trouble shooting time scratching my head.5. data saver has saved me trouble shooting time. Because of the data lock out I have found circuits that had data on them that shouldnt, I would have never known before.6. redial easy to use and I use it all the time.7. the way monitor works, you hear people talking right away if the line is busy, before you go offhook, if there are no people it silent and you dont even hear dial tone until you go offhook.and there is more and more. Its really is an asset, and unfortunately I have already tested the drop to concrete and happy to say not even a mark and still ticking.8. last thing i ordered the leads with the rj11 on it and I use it all the time checking jacks and phone numbers.Wrap up is its great and Fluke (Harris Dracon) has always made top of the line products and this one is no different. Buy it with confidence and buy the best tool you can afford and you will have it for a lifetime.

Yeah... it's good
This unit replaced a long time Harris unit. Lots of bells & whistles if you need them. About 75% of the time I'm just verifying a working circuit (dial tone, talk battery, ringing generator, ringback tone, etc.) and for this I just have one issue which has been noted by others: The Talk Switch moves a little to easily. I prefer a more "stiffer" switch like on my old Harris unit. It can be bumped too easily. Other than that, I like it.

A very comprehensive tool
I'm an old phone guy and my trusty TS22A finally wore out. I'd always wanted a test set that had caller ID and a digit-grabber. Fluke has steped up and provided that and more. When I clip on to a block the display automatically shows line voltage. When I connect to a DSL line, it locks me out to protect the data circuit but lets me override to get filtered dial tone. Very handy! So far the only things I'm not thrilled about are its size (it's a bit bulky and the Monitor/Talk switch is small) and the fact that they have gone with a lighter cable set. I hope it holds up as well as the old one did. That being said, I'm very pleased with my new test set.

Excellent Quality
This is probably based on a Harris desighn, Since Fluke has taken their line-up they have significantly improved on it, Like most of Fluke's products they are of the highest quality. This is a very useful tool and does well in protecting circuits as well as the user. Its no wonder Bell installers use them.
