How to remove the filter? Seems tight.

TWIST IT OFF ~ DO NOT SNAP IT OFF! I used a 'grip cloth' for opening jars and just TWISTED the filter cover to the LEFT; it came off easily. To put it back on securely repeat the steps, but TWIST it to the RIGHT. *There were no instructions and I considered 'snapping it off' as was suggested in one answer when I could not twist it off. DON'T = BREAKAGE!!!

Can you adjust the heat independent of the speed? In other words keep heat high but speed low?

Yup. The heat (cold, warm, hot) and the speed (low, medium, high) are two separate settings/controls. In addition to the regular controls, there is a separate cool shot button you can press while using a hot setting that gives you a shot of cold air while you hold down the button (and when you release it, it goes back to hot).

I live in Trinidad using 120 volt. Would this wattage 1875 work?

What is the dimension of the barrel?

2 inches in diameter and just the silver part is about 4 inches in length.

Pretty Perfect and, a Good value for the $

Buttons are in a logical spot to keep from accidentally hitting them, Hot is hot, Cold is cold. Doesn't blow too hard. Blow dryer is pretty light and not too loud. Cord is a good length. A standard Conair diffuser works on this drier. All in all, a very good value for the $ ( I was willing to spend $100, but didn't have to for this pretty perfect blow dryer.

Great dryer

Conair is a household name in our house. I have a 20+ year old hair dryer we all love so when it came time to buy my daughter a hairdryer of her own we went with the same brand.. it works as good as my old dryer and seems to be made just as well.It had no smell, the color was perfect, it will pack and travel well and does its job! I would highly recommend.

No juice

If you, like me, are looking to finally replace and upgrade the hairdryer you’ve had since high school (a mere 20+ yrs ago) for something with a little more juice, but you have no idea how powerful your current trusty (but near death) hairdryer is because any markings indicating power levels wore off about 19 yrs ago— I’m sorry to say this is not the hair dryer for you. It somehow seems less powerful than the 20 yr old relic? I guess I should have expected that. It will dry your hair, sure, but it’s gonna take a while.Maybe I’ll have to just have to keep using the old one until it spontaneously combusts.
