Pictures do show how to set it up, but it take a few tries to get to work, but after you get the hang of it, it does the job. The cons of this particular "kit:" The strapping material is very low quality and will will break if too much tension is applied with the tensioner mechanism. It also break if you get it secured and then try to lift the banded material by the strap. The supplied strapping breaking point is allegedly 100 Kg (about 200 lbs). This makes it only suitable for small, light weight material, boxes, etc. You're better off buying strapping tape of high tensile strength and quality. I'm certain this cannot be used with metal banding. The clips are poorly made and many are deformed. They work, but you have to find the ones that are formed correctly to fit the sealers jaw. The handles of the sealer are really too short and takes considerable force to close. If your upper body strength is minimal, you'll probably not be able to close the sealer. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Setting up the tensioner with the strapping material is pretty straight forward and is clearly shown in instructions and the tensioner is easy to operate. Getting the clips clamped on is another matter and, but if you get them set correct and use brute force to close the sealer handles it works. The supplied strapping tape is useless. Buy other high-quality strapping material.

The metal seal is terrible!

Planning to move overseas, and at the advice of the transport company, I tried to use PET strapping to better protect my goods. Everything works but only that strapping metal seals (buckle), honestly it is so "heavy duty" that even my son, a part-time trainer at the gym, cannot seal it. I do not return this package simply because I had used sseveral meters of the included plastic PET...Do not buy this product unless you think you are stronger than a bull....
