The item came intact, and I'm glad that Amazon provides this for my dog. The eye vet supplies this, and charges the same price as Amazon. I open the capsules and mix it with wet food, and actually my dog loves it. The eye vet is treating Molly for slight retinal degeneration, and we return in 6 months to see if things have improved.

Do these work? I have no idea, and no one has any real way of knowing. We started giving our dog these when he was diagnosed with glaucoma a few years ago. Since then, one eye got so bad that it had to be removed. Usually it will happen to both eyes, but it's been years and his remaining eye is still at a stable and good pressure and he still has okay vision (not great in the dark, but he's far from blind). I have no way of knowing if these pills are staving off the glaucoma from ravaging his remaining eye, but I'm not going to stop giving them in order to find out! They are tablets filled with red powder, which does stain. We mix his kibble with the powder and a splash of water. It gets in his white beard and stains it ginger which looks adorably ridiculous. It doesn't smell appetizing, but he eats it so the taste can't be too overpowering or bad. I docked a star because these are SO expensive, but on the off chance that they are the thing keeping him in decent health, I'll keep paying for them.

This seems to be working for my pup. It would have been 5 stars but when you call the number on the bottle for customer service, it answers with a recording and then hand up. From now on I’m getting it thru my vet.

These capsules were prescribed by a dog ophthalmologist to help prevent worsening and improve vision in my dog which suddenly lost vision. Her vision has improved.
