It was on sale for a good price. This set is not on my boys' ...
My son (11) picked this set to give a to a friend for a birthday gift, because he said his friend likes Star Wars droids. It was on sale for a good price. This set is not on my boys' "must have" list for themselves though, even though they really love Lego and Star Wars. There are a lot of other sets that have character/figures they are more interested in getting.

Lego Star Wars - Vulture Droid - 75041
This is the best Star Wars Vulture Droid set Lego has released so far. It is larger than previous onesand more accurate in detail.To my knowledge, Lego has never released a Star Wars Vulture Droid by itself (always with another ship).In my opinion, it is a good set for the money and a nice addition to my Lego Star Wars collection.

There's better Star Wars ships in the LEGO lineup
My sons says this is a five star set but I don't. The ship could have definitely been more complete and detailed. Plus it falls apart easier then many other ships. Looks better sitting on a shelf then actually playing with. As always LEGO's instructions are fantastic. I would not recommend this one unless you're a collector and want them all.

flimsy
Nice looks and a good idea to be a tie fighter look alike and a walker but it's flimsy and the wings are difficult to set in one position, they move too easily. The rockets really go so be careful.

Solid Star Wars Set
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He is a little younger than the age on the box, but he has been playing with Legos for quite some time and was delighted with this set. He really likes building with the Star Wars themed sets. This one allows him to shoot 'missles' and transform the built ship somewhat to add a level of interest and imagination for him.
