Great for little boy! (And for EC too)
I have a little boy just beginning potty training. At first I tried him on the built in seat reducer we used for our daughter: pee EVERYWHERE. But that was much reduced when we started using this reducer. The splash guard is great. The guard also goes below the space between the seat and the rim, catching those pees that would otherwise go between seat and rim to run down the toilet and soak the floor. Now the only misses are if he is positioned slightly askew… but that lower part actually extends further around than the raised section, so even slightly askew positioning doesn’t have the same messes as before. Also seems well made and doesn’t slip. Once it’s in place it’s secure and provides a solid secure seat for little ones. Our toilet seat is oval and this thing fits it just fine with no gaps. We did EC with both children and this seat was what we needed to make the transition from mini potty to big potty a success. (More on this at the end of the review for anyone else who ECs)It is also easy to clean, a big plus. I got the white one that just blends into the functionality and look of the toilet. We subscribe to the philosophy that potting is treated as a basic function of life and using the toilet is just something you do. It’s not a big deal and so I didn’t WANT something flashy and bright. This reducer is plain and simple and doesn’t “talk down” to the child as if we don’t think could or would use it unless their favorite cartoon character was printed on it.I would say that I will buy again, but this thing is solid. I can see it surviving two or more children. I will definitely consider buying it as a shower present for new moms. The only two real cons I’ve encountered so far are probably ubiquitous for seat reducers. 1) it is a little bulky and we have a very small bathroom, so storage is awkward. We solved this with the side of tank storage hook. 2) it is not always quick to get it unhooked and in place. We have had some accidents because we couldn’t get it in place fast enough, especially as the little one experiments with how long he can hold it to the literal last second. But that isn’t really a problem with the product, hence it is still worth 5 stars in my opinion. As someone practicing EC, my son began resisting the mini potty at about 10 months. If you practice EC you know how difficult it can be to find things small enough to work for our little ones when we live in a culture that doesn’t even think potty training is possible before 3 years old, unless your little one is unusually small, this reducer will most likely work beautifully for the EC’d baby transitioning to the big toilet. In our case, the mini potty still works ok for dream pees or the waking up from sleep easy catch, but he refuses to use it if he is fully awake. This seat gave him a secure enough position at 11 months old that he was able to relax enough to pee and poop. After only 2 days he will now toddle into the bathroom and rattle the seat in its hook when he needs to go. I know every child is different, but my son NEVER signaled that he needed to relieve himself… until we got this seat. I was about to give up on EC-ing him until I realized he was now heading to the bathroom when he needs to go. I will probably have to either store it on the ground or leave it in place when we wrap up in order for him to gain full potty independence, but that is fine with me if it means ditching diapers forever!

Doesn’t slide! Great for older/bigger potty training kiddos
This seat is so easy to use. It doesn’t slide around AT ALL, and it fits both standard and elongated toilet seats we have in our house. My son can easily sit down himself and doesn’t have to be readjusted placement-wise, as the opening is large enough to accommodate him as an older kid who is potty training later than a typical kid. I can tell my son feels comfortable and secure, as he is willing to sit and try for longer periods of time. The feature I unexpectedly like is the rubber feet to stand the seat up against the wall. I find it’s more out of the way vs hanging on a hook in our particular bathroom’s setup.

Have a boy?The best potty seat!!!!
I was reading reviews for many different potty seats. I have a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. My daughter was using a step ladder style potty seat but since she is a ‘big girl now’ she thought that was now for babies.. with a little butt you need a potty seat though!Since we also have a boy, I thought the soft/flexible front piece would be perfect! Comfortable for him! Many reviewers of potty seats complained about their boys pee getting everywhere.. here is a trick! Just have them lean forward! Then their pee will go down into the toilet! ;)I also chose this seat because it is very easy to clean and it is easy for kids to put on themselves and it stays put!Highly recommend!!

4 potty chairs deep! This is the one !
After 4 different types of potty chairs for my step daughter, the classic mini plastic toilet, cheap foam bluey seat, the flat foldable froggy seat, this is the one! For an elongated toilet seat almost all of the potty seat attachments FELL IN! Boy what a wrench that can throw into potty training. The Design of this potty seat allows the seat to securely fit an elongated seat without falling into the toilet. It’s soft, easy to clean, even has a designated area to hang it on a hook { although it doesn’t come with one} Thank you munchkin!

Money well spent
I purchased this based on a recommendation from a friend. It was a few dollars more than my second choice, but it is indeed a good product. Exactly as stated, it stays in place and fits well. Looks good and appears to be manufactured from high quality materials. It is a bit hard to keep the area underneath sanitary but what isn't hard about raising kids. I love the kids and this potty seat. I am passing on the recommendation.

Finally! A Potty Seat That Fits My Toilets!
I have elongated seats and I feel they are slightly bigger than average, so I was having a difficult time find a potty seat that would feel secure for my son to use. These were the solution! They can wiggle a little bit, but they are secure and fully fit my toilets. The splash guard is low enough he can sit over comfortably, but high enough to stop him from peeing over. I have noticed that at times, there can be a slight gap between this seat and the actual seat depending on how you place it on the seat, in which some pee can get onto the toilet seat, but it's a minor amount and easy to clean up.The potty seat itself is easy to clean up and since I do have a boy, I do need to clean the splash guard after each use, but it's really not an issue. It also has a slot on the back so you can hang it up (I use the Munchkin Potty Ring Storage Hook). Overall I'm very happy with this product and recommend it to anyone that has elongated toilets.
