I purchased this CeraVe Healing Ointment for my 1.5-year-old son, who has eczema-prone skin, and it has worked really well for us as a daily moisturizer and skin protectant. The texture is thick and occlusive, which helps lock in moisture, especially after bath time. I apply a thin layer to areas that tend to get dry or irritated, and it helps keep his skin soft and comfortable without causing any stinging or redness. What I really appreciate is that it’s fragrance-free and gentle, which is important for sensitive toddler skin. While it’s not greasy once absorbed, it provides long-lasting hydration and helps reduce dryness that can trigger flare-ups. Overall, this has become a staple in our routine for managing dry, eczema-prone skin, and I feel confident using it regularly on my child.

Great for the winter times. Really helps lock in the moisture on the skin and is highly suited for cracked/dry skin. The consistency is how you would describe petroleum jelly feel which is great because a small amount goes a long ways. I use it on my feet, after I shower, and especially on my hands and elbows to help lock in moisture. It’s not heavy if you use an appropriate amount. There is no scent to it and it’s easy to apply. Like i said, it’s got a petroleum jelly feel which i like because it lasts longer than moisturizer/lotion. Overall great product for those trying to keep the skin moisturized and protected from the elements such as the cold.. (we all know the cold can really cause dry/cracked hands. I even use it as chapstick. Love it.

I have really bad seborrheic dermatitis around my nose to the point where it’s dry, peeling, and inflamed. I used this ointment one time and my nose and the skin around it is so soft and moisturized. It’s turned my dry irritated nose back to normal. I’ve been trying different products and this is the only thing that has helped and I’m so happy!

This is my favorite moisterizer/ointment. I have very sensitive skin and this always does wonders for me. I use it head to toe and have never had any bad reactions. It saves me when my eczema flares up and gets dry and itchy. I like the way it sits on my skin. I prefer this over aquaphor. Plus I got it on sale for $16.99, I feel that it was a great deal!

If you have cracked skin, especially on your feet, petroleum jelly works wonders. The problem is that it's greasy as heck and gets everywhere. This cream is roughly 50% petroleum jelly and so it's just about as effective, but absorbs into your skin much quicker and so the greasiness goes away within a few minutes. My only complaint is I was sent a jar that expired in 5 months. I'll probably buy this elsewhere next time, Amazon has terrible inventory control and so it's a hit or miss when it comes to expiration dates.

First winter ever without bleeding hands. And not only that, but my hands aren’t even dry, or itchy, or red, or burning. Nothing! Just my hands. My cuticles have even healed. I slather this on very heavily every night at bedtime and I wear a pair of cotton gloves (made for this purpose). Tip if these gloves annoy you in pre-sleep hypervigilance: cut the fingers off up to first knuckle (game changer). Completely soaks into my hands overnight. First time user; definitely a keeper. (I also use my fingers that remain out of the cut gloves to rub any lingering product into my lips and aging skin areas on my face and I have returned a bare faced glow (even if I am beginning to look my age!).

Fantastic lotion. all of sudden this winter my skin became very flaky. One use of this cream my skin is soft and hydrated and the hydration last all day on my arms and legs. My dermatologist also recommends this cream for dry skin.

I have really bad itchy eczema dry skin in the winter. For the past year or so it continued into the summer, so I have been dealing with this frustrating issue for quite a while. Sometimes it gets so bad I end up scratching my skin until it starts bleeding and I have been desperate for an affordable solution that doesn't involve doctor's appointments to fix. I've tried lotion after lotion after lotion. From CeraVe Intense Moisturizing lotion to Amlactin Intensive Healing lotion. Nothing had been working. After discovering that ointments are much better for constant skin irritation than your standard lotions, I bought this and I am so thankful that I did. For the first time ever, I have been able to see immediate improvement in my skin when I apply this at night. The itching is soothed so quickly after applying, and it helps me sleep instead of being kept up all night from scratching. It is so nice to wake up in the morning with little to no itching or burning. I would need to apply lotions 24/7 to even see a fraction of the results I see from this in just two nights. I am bad at consistent use of almost anything but when I go too long without using this it is very obvious which makes keeping up with consistent use so easy. Sometimes I even apply this to my lips at night before sleeping and it works so well for incredibly chapped winter lips if I do that for a couple nights. It may be a little sticky and the consistency is a little thick in comparison to lotion, but the results are well beyond worth it for me. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone with harsh painful itchy skin. It has been a miracle worker for me all winter long. The tub lasts quite a long while and a little goes a long way, so the size is perfect. And it doesn't have any noticeable scents or fragrances which makes it even more compatible for sensitive skin and people with sensitive noses which is a huge plus.
