After being disappointed by the brief tea party episode from "Mary Poppins" included in "Walt Disney's Classic Storybook" (2009), I was delighted to discover the 1964 storybook available from Amazon Sellers. This Classic Big Golden Book is smartly adapted from the Disney movie by Anne Bedford. The excellent illustrations by Grace Clarke closely resemble Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke, and other actors from the movie. The entire story of the magical movie is included here; (Mary Poppins arriving on the Wind, the Jolly Holiday, laughing Uncle Albert, the Bird Woman, the trip to the bank, the dancing chimney sweeps) presented to delight and be accessible readers of all ages. This book, like the movie and Mary Poppins herself, is simply "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

I recently got this book as a Mother's Day present for my mom (who has been obsessed with Mary Poppins since she was a kid). I know this will vary from seller to seller, but the condition of the book was amazing. Naturally there were a few signs of wear, but considering this thing is close to 50 years old I was extremely impressed. The book itself is a great trip back in time. All the panels are illustrated and has that classic feel to them. If you're a Disney fan, appreciate the old art styles, and of course love Mary Poppins, this is a great addition to any collection.

It was a cute book. Since I've only watched the movie I was expecting the whole movie version of the story. Instead it was just a few parts of the movie that were in this story. I was expecting more. I've always loved the little golden books.

Super cute Little Golden Book of Mary Poppins. Nanny P is taking her two clients out for some fun at the park when a dog comes along and leads them down a tier adventure. Shenanigans began at Berts house. Nanny Poppins isn't amused but plays along. Good fun had by all. Very fun story and colorful illustrations make this a fun book for all ages. Short story for bedtime read. Highly recommended

My daughter is a Mary Poppins fan, so we ordered this book before it was released. Knowing that Golden Books for Disney movies are sometimes overly brief and leave out too much of the story line, I was a little bit worried. But this book is fabulous. Instead of trying to cover the entire Mary Poppins movie, this book is about the Uncle Albert scene (floating in air as they laugh). Well done. Since we received this book three days ago, we've already read it five times.

This is more of a short story about when they visit uncle Albert, not the whole story of the film but my daughters love it. As always with these books they are a lovely quality and I was very happy with mine.

I purchased this childhood story book for my grandchildren.
