Outstanding Performance – Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold Pro
The Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold Pro has completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first use, it delivered an incredibly close, smooth shave with no irritation. The ergonomic design fits perfectly in the hand, making it easy to maneuver around the head. The blades are powerful and efficient, cutting through hair quickly without pulling or discomfort. I especially appreciate how fast the shave is—what used to take a long time now only takes a few minutes. The battery life is excellent, and the fact that it’s waterproof makes cleaning and maintenance extremely easy. Overall, the Pitbull Gold Pro is a high-quality, reliable grooming tool that truly delivers professional results at home. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and time-saving shave.

Solid head shaver with a few quirks
Started using this July 31st, just now put it on for its first full charge on September 4th after using it every other day. The good: Powerful motor and blades Easy to clean - especially compared to Freebird brand which I was using previously Comfortable design - works well wet or dry but ideally it works best with some shave cream. The less good: The charge port cover isn't attached in any way once you remove it to charge so the possibility of losing it is high, keep an eye on it It cuts close, but not as close as a regular razor. It works better on an every-other-day or every-three-days basis for me, but your mileage may vary depending on your hair type (mine is pretty fine texture). Overall, a great razor with minor issues, the charge port cover is my biggest concern. The display of charge is great too - even though this was the first charge of it, I still had 12% battery left, just didn't want to risk a half-shave before it died.

Love This Shaver
The Pitbull surprised me (pleasantly) by delivering everything its makers promised. I wasn't convinced that the shape of this shaver would make a significant difference, but it does! I have a top-of-the-line Braun electric shaver and the Pitbull does a much better job on my head than the Braun. The Braun gives my face and neck a closer shave than the Pitbull so I use them both, but if I had to only have one, it would be, hands down, the Pitbull. The Pitbull won't give your head as close a shave as a HeadBlade LE Moto Men's Head Shaving Razor, but it will give you one that's pretty darn close. Maybe not close enough for a date or important meeting, but close enough for your normal daily routine; including going into the office...and I say this as someone who never used an electric shaver when I worked in an office (and had a full head of hair) You can use the Pitbull "wet" or "dry." I feel like the "wet" shave is a bit closer, but it also takes longer since you have to keep the blades clean and not gummed up with shave gel. Most days when I use it I shave "dry" and it's still really close. It's easy to clean during a "wet" shave. Keep a shallow container (I use a small plastic food storage container my wife had bought) next to the sink, and rather frequently, dip the heads into the water and run the shaver for about 5 seconds. This will clean out all the collected shave gel (you can see a strangely satisfying cloud of the stuff appear in the water) I replace the water after each cleaning which may sound like a PITA, but it's not. I bought the Gold Model. The Platinum Model is the exact same razor but it comes with a "carrying case" which I don't think is necessary since both models come with a plastic guard for the blades, and a "cleaning tray." I think the Platinum Model cost $20 more and I guarantee you that a small plastic food container is a lot less and works just as well. I got my Pitbull in mid-May, use it, on average, 4-5 days a week and the battery is at 72% charged. BTW the digital battery charge display is a great feature that I wish I had on all my battery-powered devices. When I bought this shaver, I had just decided to fully shave my head and was using the Braun. Frankly, I think I had gotten caught up in the new look because I really didn't have high expectations for the Pitbull My past general disappointment with electric shavers had led me to spend too much money on the Braun and still being disappointed so I pretty much expected the same with the Pitbull. I was, however, very pleasantly surprised and a few friends who own one too all agree. The thing really delivers on its promises.

Not great, but probably the best option you have
I've been using this line of shavers for about 2 years now. The battery just died on the first one, and I just ordered a replacement so I figured I'd leave a review. First of all - battery issues? Yes. The first two weeks I used my shaver, I thought all the reviews about the poor battery life were either unlucky or outside the norm. Then one day about two weeks in, I started shaving with the battery at 50% and it abruptly died mid-shave. After that I noticed the battery would decrease normally (about 3-5% for each five minute shave), but once it hit around 50 or 60%, the battery would drop 1% every second until it hit zero. I thought this was fine - I have to charge the shaver every week, so what? The problem is, this "battery drop off" point kept creeping higher and higher over the past year and a half until recently, when the battery died as I started shaving at 92%. I had been recharging the shaver after every two shaves already, so I figured this was time to get a new shaver. If the new one follows the same pattern, I'll be reasonably satisfied if the battery gets me through two years. After reading about battery charging and battery life, the plan is to use the shaver until 60%ish battery, then charge up to 90%ish each time - might help, might not. So why buy the same shaver if the first one had such an unreliable battery? I haven't used any other electric head shavers out there, but I had been shaving my head with a safety razor for a few years before I tried the Pitbull. I can't say anything about the other shavers, but my skin is pretty sensitive, so I am hesitant to try new shavers - and the Pitbull is pretty good in this regard. The four bladed (I think it's called the Forte) attachment that comes with the shaver doesn't irritate my skin, and is fairly reliable (I only broke the first one by dropping it multiple times - my bad). I'd say that shaving against the grain with the shaver gets my hair very close to what a safety razor would get (also going against the grain). Obviously it's not quite AS short, but the difference is maybe 6 hours or so of hair growth for me. It's definitely closer than shaving with the grain with a safety razor, and shaving against the grain with a razor can cause irritation for me anyways. So the quality of the shave is fairly good, I only have to shave every 2 days to maintain a clean look. But the best advantage of the Pitbull is TIME. It only takes 5-7min to shave your head, rather than the 20min it would take me with a safety razor. I'd recommend using conditioner on your head when using this shaver, using shave soap and a brush will actually get the blades of the Pitbull coated with soap that doesn't easily come off, and the bristles of the brush will occasionally come off and get sucked into the shaver - which messes with the blades and is annoying to clean. Conditioner is easy to wash off, all you have to do is rinse with hot water, and the shave is smooooooth. TLDR: Buy to save time. Shaves pretty close to safety razor, if not 'baby bottom smooth'. Do a favor and use conditioner instead of all the other shaving products. Yeah, battery kind of sucks.

ive always relied on my lodger to finish off my hair with clippers after id got most of it..i decided to give the pitbull shaver a punt so i could shave my hair as and when i wanted. Well i was definately not disappointed..i shaved my head using the pitbull...it took around 5 mins and apart from a couple of spots it did a fantastic job..i just went over what i had missed and hey presto job done...still had 93% battery life which is insane !!! cleaning the unit was an absolute breeze...i tapped out most of the hair then ran the blades and just the part where the blades attach to the main unit under the tap...left both to dry then simply reassembled the unit..The shave....the shaving was incredibly easy to do and gave me a barely stubbled head all over...its a tad expensive but if you are looking for a brilliant easy to use shaver which does as well as you would get at the barbers you wont go wrong with this model...Quick update...ive shaved my head around 7 or 8 times now....battery still on 82% which again is insane ....Also forgot to mention....when i used to use the clippers there was always hair to hoover up off the carpet...now im constantly keeping my hair short using the Pitbull headshaver...a simple rinse of the blades under the tap...hair gone....job done!!! Im willing to bet im one of dozens of satisfied customers who...after shaving..constantly feel your head every hour or so thinking ....that did a great job!!!
