Sennheiser AMBEO Smart Headset (iOS) – in-Ear Headphones with Binaural Audio - Active Noise Cancellation, Transparent Hearing and 3D Sound Recording - Black

Honestly didn't think I would find them comfortable and really bought them as binaural mics to keep in my pocket for when I don't have all my gear with me and still want to record something. They were recommended by someone else. BUT I love them - they are really comfy and don't fall out / off my ears at all. The mics themselves are really nice, as you would expect from Sennheiser. At this price <£40, it's a no-brainer. Best noise cancellation I have ever experienced, but that's not something I would normally be looking for! I have yet to put them through their paces, but I am already super happy with this purchase!

These headphones have 2 main use scenarios 1) As headphones : very good quality sound not professional but really good for day to day listening. The wires are a little awkward when exercising as it has a control unit larger than most due to the recording capabilities. The noise cancellation is not great due to the design of the headphones . I also have a pair of Sony Mx 1000M3 and they are so much better (and expensive). The mic for voice calls isn’t as good as I would have liked with the other callers suggesting the sound was muffled. Would have loved it if they could use the binaural mics for voice calls. 2) As binaural microphones they are amazing as they capture so much more detail and direction than the inbuilt mic. They are also excellent when used with 3rd party apps like filmic pro As I use it primarily for recording audio I would give them a 5*. If that isn’t your thing then purchasing other earphones may be better

This is a great headset for the price. Great sound quality from binaural mics. I wish it was available as USB-c and/or 3.5mm TRRS connection so it can be used with other devices. Also a manual toggle to select which mic is being used would improve usability. Make a follow up version!!

I recently got into audio for my videos and have bought several audio products and amongst them were these Sennheiser binaural headphones. I managed to get them to work with my Samsung S10 and the sound is absolutely awesome. They were very expensive to begin with and I can understand that with the quality of sound but I think they were a bit before their time I would certainly buy them while they are so cheap before you can no longer get hold of a pair.

Noise canceling does not really work, you can tell it is trying but it just not very effective. Sound quality is not great for music, but as I wanted them to listen to audio books and podcasts, they are perfectly good for that. Volume is very good and the control on the cable is easy to use. Fit is fiddly to get right and I have never got it really comfortable, but good enough to wear for an hour or so at a time.

Sound quality is pretty good, but I they have been thrown in the top draw now as no one can hear me when I use them for phone calls. So I'm pretty disappointed with them and suggest they are ok as headphones for listening only, but not for phone calls.... which is strange given the phone call "recording functionality"....

Perfect for me. They don’t hurt the ear drums. Good cancelation. Only thing is control is a bit heavy and some times can get in the way. But excellent quality of sound

Unless you buy for recording (about which I cannot comment), wouldn’t recommend buying it: uncomfortable, bulky, one ear’s speaker was broken (not due to physical damage) in a short while and making a buzz sound when playing music. Disposed…

Damaged. Crackling and popping sound.

I have been looking for these for a very long time. Finally, I found it on amazon.ca for 99 CAD. These are the best. Noise cancellation is good for its class. Sound quality is good too. Comfort level is just OK. But you will get used to it. The best part is that it is binaural recording mic. Which means you can record your audio in 3D. Which can be reproduced by any type of headphones or stereo device. The only unfortunate part is that it is made only for iPhone. Which means when the mighty Apple decides to remove all ports, these headphones will be useless for then devices. These headphones have their own app using which you can fine tune and control how it behaves. You can also set what function you want to execute when you use the slider button. It also has a third mic for voice calls and they are good too. Over all I would really recommend this product. Just that as soon as I bought this product, the seller increased the price by 30%. That is from CAD 99 to CAD 130+.

I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a way to do stereo recordings on the go. Their spatial representation in recordings is amazing. If you want to also use them as a pair of headphones, their audio quality is superb and way better than I expected. Their noise cancelation is quite adequate, but not up there with the best of them.

I'm a beginner just getting into field recordings. Bought this for its binaural mic which has worked well so far - nice, clear 3D sound. Controls takes some getting used to, but overall am happy.
