I'm so glad that Epilady listened and started making this model again
Not for the faint of heart but totally worth it. For about the cost of a full leg wax, you can have this in your bathroom forever. It's not painless. But do people really expect to get their hair pulled out by the root and have it NOT hurt?? My mom had one of these when I was a kid and I've been looking for myself ever since. I'm so glad that Epilady listened and started making this model again. Easy to use and great results. Tips for first time use.... Hair grows in phases, meaning all hair doesn't all grow at the same time. Knowing this, I used Nair first. About a week later, I used the Epilady on the hair that was still there and that was starting to grow in. Now I use it about once a week and just get what's there. It's a lot less intense than going in first time and getting everything all at once.

Original Model is BEST - Thanks for bringing it back!
I loved this years ago when it first came out. Then they improved it and you know what that means. The new model, cordless, nice to be cordless but WOW the juice does not last and the functionality was not there. The original is perfect. I am so glad they brought this one back. Makes a HUGE difference in hair removal.

Reducing hair & black roots all over my legs after shaving.
I had one in the 90s and so happy to see it’s back. Easy to use, VERY effective. Takes a few minutes to get used to the stings as the hairs are pulled out...but then it hurts good. Pulling every hair out! Can’t wait For the second round of hair growth so I can get them out with my epilator! Adding a quick update: used my epilady for a month and it died! I had my original one for 10yrs. amazon refunded my money and I didn’t need to ship the broken one back. I did purchase another one, plus a the epilady tweezer. Hopefully they last a little longer than a month.

Unique in its class
I prefer the Epilady to other hair removal devices because it really pulls the hair out and there is no stubble. I have been using this device since 1998, and recently bought a replacement. My previous devices would have rated 5 stars. This one gets only 4 because: 1) It looks unnecessarily ugly-WHY would they send me a white Epilady with a black cord? 2) I have used it twice-seems to work OK but too early to be sure about durability, and the packaging looks a lot cheaper than the previous devices (this is my third device in 15 years) 3) The cost is almost double what I remember from 5 years ago - just doesn't seem right given there is not that much to it.

Updated review
Fourth update: It would work intermittently and shut off when I did the back of my legs and it was upside down. The power switch stopped sliding so I had to get a screw driver to pry it to the on position. Finally threw it away and bought a Braun. Third update: Bought the original on April 2, 2018 within a year it was bad. Epilady sent me another one and it is now worse. The coil is stretched out and jams in the unit. If this was cheap I would expect it but not worth $100. As I said below, I had my first Epilady for more than 30 years. The new model is junk. DO NOY BUY. Update: Second replacement quit working. What a waste of money. Update: I sent it back to Epilady and they replaced it. The replacement is now doing the same thing. I would expect this from a cheap product but this unit is not cheap. I've had the Epilady Classic for slightly over one year now and somehow the coil got stretched out and wobbles around causing it to get jammed. I have to manually release it to keep going. Very disappointing since I spent more money to get the same product that I had before since that one lasted over 30 years. If I bought the cheaper brand I would expect it to last a year but not Epilady. Oh well. live and learn. Got my first Epilady Classic over 30 years ago and it finally quit working. I read the reviews for other brands but decided to go with what I know.

Well worth the sting
Works very well. Helps to get rid of unwanted hair. Well worth the sting to achieve the look.

Didn't last a year
This worked relatively well for a while! Unfortunately, it decided to short circuit and became essentially useless after only 10.5 months. It's annoying I couldn't get a year long warranty with it.

I love the Epilady...I’m wondering what took me so long to discover this wonderful epilator?
I fricckin love the Epilady Classic. I’m 65 yrs old...I’m afraid of slipping and falling in shower shaving my legs as I’m getting older and live alone. My friend said she loves her Epilady Classic and I should give it a try. I wished I had heard of this epilator yrs ago. Yes, there was a slight discomfort using it the first few minutes...but no more discomfort than the first time I had my legs waxed. What I’m trying to say...after you experience the first minute of the leg hair being pulled...you kinda of expect it. You no longer feel the discomfort.
