Best performance for the price. Last longer, less expensive.
These discs last much longer than the ones purchased at local Home Improvement stores which cost 4-5 times as much. I have been using them to strip paint from an entire car body. One disc lasted approximately 6-7 sq ft of space with a 4 1/2 inch grinder stripping two layers of paint and two layers of primer. It takes about 15-20 mins to go through a disc depending upon how it's used. If you run the disc up against a very sharp edge, it will degrade much quicker. On a flat surface, it will last quite a long time.By my estimates, an average car could be stripped with about 25-30 of these, coming to around $120-$150 in materials to do the job versus many more hundreds or even a thousand dollars to have it done using media blasting or chemical methods. This brand was recommended to me by a professional fabricator and I am happy he did.

I had my doubts but after talking to them and after putting the 'TruePower' disks to the test I can assure you that you won't be
Note: If you read the Q&A you will see that the seller mentioned that they only recently updated the products to say 'Benchmark Abrasives' as shown in the product picture and that the items used to say 'TruePower' on them. I also received a set recently that says 'TruePower' but if the item is coming from Amazon themselves (and not some shady foreign seller) then you can rest assured that they are the real deal. I had my doubts but after talking to them and after putting the 'TruePower' disks to the test I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. These disks are awesome. They last long and do a fantastic job of removing paint and getting the metal clean. Each disk will last for hours of non-stop paint removal and likely more if you know how to use them well (they do not require a lot of pressure to work). Will be buying more when I inevitably work my way through this 10-pack but given how long they last it'll likely be quite a while before then.

Fantastic! Cut through everything on nasty rusty, coated, cement splattered metal. Huge time saver.
The media could not be loaded. These things are fantastic. I have years of metal work experience and I never tried these, figured it was just a gimmick. WRONG. I had about 30' of really crummy, rusty, cement splattered steel schedule 40 pipe to strip bare. I was dreading it. The stuff was covered with that gummy black lacquer too, so rust plus tough lacquer/asphalt protective coating junk. It's tougher to remove than mill scale. I have done lots of this type of metal cleanup, flap discs gum up way too fast and wire wheels will do it but they are slow (and painful). These things cut right through everything in a single pass. They leave a nice paint ready finish and will not deform or cut into the workpiece. Seemed like less mess and dust than I would expect too. I was blown away. They wear down reasonably fast, but I would say not too bad. I used 8 to do 30 feet of really bad rusted 4" pipe. Probably would have taken 4 wire wheels. HUGE labor saver. For me time is money and what I was expecting to take days took 2 hours. Some tips on their use: They do throw off chunks. Wear gloves and eye protection. I like to wear a respirator too so most of my face is covered. They won't stick in you like a wire wheel but it stings! Resist the tendency to position these like a flap disc, IE using the outer edge at an angle. They will wear out much, much, faster and throw off a lot more chunks. Use them more like a wire cup and keep them flat to the metal. They are pretty much done when there is around 1/4" of abrasive and you start to see the glue holding it together. They cut better at first but but get gradually less effective, just a little though, they still work great.I can't recommend these enough. I like them so much I wrote this and made the video! If you don't believe me, watch the video and see for yourself!

Work great, but 2 things...
These are really good disks for removing paint, rust and smoothing out minor scratches. No luck with mill scale tho, I use a hard wheel for that or I buy pickled and oiled steel. One reviewer mentioned this: Stay away from corners. The wheel will break up & will throw chunks. The chunks are traveling about mach 2 & they sting a bit when they hit, plus anyone working near you will be severely annoyed. Definitely need a full face shield & heavy clothes.Second thing: The wrench supplied with my Dewalt right angle grinder does NOT have long enough prongs (studs?) to tighten up the retainer ring that holds the wheel on. The wheels are thicker than the prongs are long. I fabricated a wrench with ~1" prongs to tighten the retainer ring. No problems now.

These discs are fantastic. Ive been using the ones from the local hardware stores thst are $11 each on sale, these not only run cooler, but also last longer for 4 dollars a piece. Im using them to strip my 1980 el camino to bare metal, then cut right through tons of layers of body filler, rust, clearcoat, paint, sealing primer, etc that the car has had over the years, without having to worry about overheating the metal, ive used wire brush cups, sanding flap discs, chemical strippers, but nothing works near as good or is as safe to use as these discs. Really couldnt be happier, saving me a ton of time.
