Absolutely excellent sea spray - favorite one yet!
In the past few years, I've gravitated away from hair products such as hair sprays, gels and mousses. Sea spray has become an obsession, and I've tried a lot of different brands! I have to say, this one is probably my favorite so far. It's not cheap, it's not too pricey. This is a quality product somewhere in the gray area of pricing. It smells wonderful and doesn't leave any greasy or sticky residue on my hair. I love this one so much that I may not try any others. I feel like I've hit the jackpot when it comes to sea sprays!

Use sparingly!
I have fine hair and had a hairdresser use this in my hair to help "thicken" it up. From using this, I have learned that less is more. I spray about 5 sprays in my hand, and run it through my hair, roots to ends. Anymore, and my hair was very limp and heavy feeling. I use this in addition to a hair fattening mousse and root lifter. Definitely, gives hair a thicker/fuller feel.

Please dont waste your $$
Im sorry but the label n bottle is old n generic looking. It smells like dollar store cheap lotion. Its like they just put a nicer plastic sprayer on it to make it ok. Im so disappointed. Its gona be a headache to return it -$$

great, but Awapuhi is better
If you like the tousled look, Sea Salt Sprays are quite miraculous. I tried some of the Awapuhi by Paul Mitchell, and became an instant fan of Sea Salt Sprays (SSS). I spray a light mist over the sides and back of my head, give it a vigorous shake with the fingers, pull it all forward, and voila. Perfect messy, piecey layers. Sea Salt Spray is the lightest hair styling product you can get. But somehow it clumps your hair up in a way that accentuates layering. When I wanted a 2nd bottle to keep at work, I figured now I'd try Indie; Indie is the top rated sss on Ulta's site. The Indie is nice. The trigger on/off is a bit funky to learn. The pump is good. The liquid is waterier than Awapuhi, so you need more. But the hold is not as sure either-- it leaves your hair a bit more drippy, and les easy to command into place. For controlling frizzies, that's probably good. But for the tousled look, it gives less definition.Everyone mentions fragrance in these reviews, and the vote is split. Fragrance preferences are personal of course, so it's tough to weigh in with conviction. The Awapuhi tries to have the same wild ginger scent as their styling oil (which I think is awesome), but their SSS scent is a bit more tangy. The Indie Catchawave, on the other hand, is going for a tropical, coconutty scent, but it comes off in a salon-product sort of way, if you know what I mean. It smells like you sprayed the inside of a coconut with 1970s Aqua Net hair spray. :-PGreat product overall. And ounce per ounce, a whole lot cheaper than the Awapuhi. But I still like the Awapuhi SSS a lot more.edit 5/9/2020: Since my review I have tried Salt by Pete & Pedro. The two bottles (Pete & Indie) actually sit side by side in my desk drawer at work. The Pete & Pedro's is better, by a world of difference. Firstly, Indie's scent gets worse the more I smell it. Maybe women can get away with that 80s salon smell, but it's not for a guy. Salt has a very slight scent only, and will not get in the way of your cologne or perfume. The other difference is the ability to reposition. Pete's stays a little bit moist & you can reposition your hair without re-wetting. The Pete & Pedro's Salt is the best product by far of the 3 I've discussed.
