Astro 1128 Mini Impact Ratchet Wrench, 3/8"

It's not enough to do much on it's own when there are a lot of different torque and bolt sizes.For specific work, it may be good, but there's still better tools for speciality use than this and so it's just not ready for as much as one may perceive.Very weak, likely in the 25-28 lb ft worth of working power at 95psi (at tank) and with a good air compressor/hose kit. I greased it, babied and talked dirty to it. I'm still having to mix use of this and it's big brother 3/8 impact. I see myself purchasing an SP tool to be my 3/8 everything until I need an impact.Not very fast, I was suprised and thought it would still be a bit faster.It also rams your hand aside under load. I'd like the company to send me another so I can test side by side if they do believe it's this particular unit.

purchase this tool after seeing Eric O from south main auto on youtube using it for a year and raving about it and now that iv used it for a month or 2 he was right on its a little beast

First found out about this tool from Eric O.'s SMA YouTube channel. I decided to buy it, and with 50 ft-lb. torque it made short work of routine installation and removal of various fasteners - much faster than any ratchet IMO. Love this little tool and would buy again (added a Hot Max 1/4" swivel air fitting to keep the air hose out of the way).

Excellent and very powerful wrench. Eric O from SMA uses this all the time in addition to the Onyx, and they are both great wrenches.Love the impact mechanism for saving my hand, though I need to use Impact sockets it's no big deal.Great buy.

Fell in Love with it the first day…. Worst mistake of my life haha. Used it for the 10mm bolt on timing belt covers for hondas and valve cover gaskets. Started reversing itself the third day, then the fourth it wouldn’t lock in reverse or forward mode anymore. Disappointed. Sent it to their California location to get it fixed, even sent it using priority 2 day. Its been there over a week…. and nothing. I suggest go with SP or Snap-On. Don’t waste your time like me.

Runs up fasteners quickly without snapping them off. It is fast and compact. Love mine. Won’t break your wrist just like an impact wrench (because it is one).

Nice tool no issue, but leaves you wanting more power. I get it, it's not supposed to have a ton a power, but wish it had just a little more kick.

I was questioning if this ratchet was going to be good but I can now say that it was a great investment. Ive been testing the product and still currently using it. I gotta say this ratchet is fast! Compared to my coworker’s other brand pneumatic ratchet, the Astro is much more faster. The non stopping feature is a plus, helps a lot when it’s not trying to rip out of your hands after the bolt is tight. Overall you can’t go wrong especially with pricing.

Saves time but wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding!! Only works on bolts that can pretty much be hand tightened. Sent it back! I will buy an air ratchet instead. Same functionality : 1/3 price! The long trigger is an nuisance, can't hardly touch it but it runs - maybe dropping a socket where you have to go fetch it.

Small, lightweight, powerful. As an added bonus, it has a nasty little snarl to it. Not too loud, just enough to say it means business. Love it.

I really wanted to like this tool but the ratcheting head failed within a week of light use. Looks like a design defect. If the company wants to address this issue, I’ll edit this review, but for now, buy a similar tool from SP or eastwood.

This thing is wicked! Cuts jobs in half time wise, astro knows their stuff when it comes to air tools.

hat this tool for a month and had to send it back. It stripped inside the head. Got a replacement and it did the same thing. Tool not good at all. Shouldn't be call a impact. Do waste your money
