Lasts a long time! Lowest dose is 0.4mg
EDIT: my bad, lowest dose of 1 drop is 400mcg which is 0.4mg not 4mg. So 5 drops x 0.4 =2mg dose. It is very easy to titrate up slowly with this. 10 drops is 4mg, 20 drops is 8mg and so on. It’s usually given in a range between 0.5mg to 2mg per kg of weight per day. So if someone weighed 33lbs (15kg) and they started at a dose of 0.5mg per kg per day then that would be 15/2 =7.5 mg per day or about 18 drops. This seems to do well split into an AM and PM dose, and paired with hydroxy / adeno b12 or all 3 types of B12. While it is a good idea to start slow, it’s important to also know that until you reach the minimum recommended amount for body weight (see formula above) per day then the gains may be nonexistent or slow. It has to do with the amount of usable folate saturating to effectively cross the BBB. Lower doses help and it’s good to start low in order to avoid potentially (unlikely) reactions but be mindful that you may not see gains until you reach at least the lowest minimum dosage or higher. (Again not medical advice) Also still a great value for the money! —-original below It is 4mg Folinic acid per drop, and children are usually started slowly on 1mg a day so for a child you might want to start on a lower dose supplement (such as “why not natural b12 + folate”) and switch to this one once the child has titrated up to 4-8mg per day. (Not medical advice) Since the dose is so small it lasts a long time so it’s a great value for the money! Works best when paired with a B12 supplement, such as global healings vitamin B12 (3 types of b12) or a plain hydroxyb12 supplement.

Our son is possibly autistic
Started giving this to my 2 1/2 year old son who is possibly autistic, did our research on Leucovorin, and discovered liquid folate as a different form of Leucovorin. Only difference is Leucovorin is a prescription. Liquid folate is liquid form and OTC. Did our research on this brand, and we've been hooked since we started liquid folate in August 2025. My son has been showing a lot of improvement in his focus, mood and also has been trying to talk now, with more eye contact. We are going on 2 months and have gone through 2 bottles and just got another 2 bottles in the mail today. We are hooked and can't wait to see more progress in our little guy. Thank you AlchePharma!!

Best Folinic Acid
I've used this particular folinic acid for my mthfr for years and was very happy with the results. Saw another brand at half the price and decided to give it a try. Big mistake. Serum levels plunged, felt terrible. I re-ordered the Alchepharma folinic acid. Obviously this is a case of you get what you pay for. Alchepharma makes a quality product and it's worth every penny

Folinic acid at it's best.
Is really folinic acid and precisely what one needs. Easy to take with small dose.

Great for picky kids
Super easy to drop 1 drop into a small amount of liquid or on a bite of food. Taste is negligible and my son (ASD and super picky) paid zero attention. This is the only folinic acid I’ve been able to get him to take.
