good reed for repairs and to be creative
This reed was quite helpful when came time to repair cat claw holes from our chair. After soaking it, it was quite easy to braid it as required

Measure after clearing out the old spline!!!
I wish I had measured after clearing out the old spline in my caning project, had to return this because I measured it beforehand and it was just not accurate enough, but the material was great and as described.

DO NOT BUY as spline for pressed cane finishing.
I ordered this to secure pressed cane in the groove or channel in a cane seat. It is round not wedge shaped and does not fit. It is also less pliable than other spline I've ordered even after soaking and tougher to work with. It might work for other projects but I'm super disappointed.

This is round spline. It may be pliable if soaked, but it looks difficult to work with for caning chairs. We just sent it back and ordered something that has a beveled "side."
