Rubies Halloween Concepts Children's Costumes Pirate King - Large

It's very thin but still a good quality costume. My son had to wear it for a school concert and then 3 separate halloween parties. Looks as good as it did when we got it and it did have to be washed a few times.

Absolutely love these! Price is so great and the costume isn’t nearly as cheap as you’d expect. They’re perfect for layering... It was cold for a Halloween event tonight so my boys wore sweat pants and light hoodies underneath. I got M for my 6 yr old and S for my 4 yr old... They’re average to slightly taller sized. They have wiggle room, but overall both fit very well. We paired the outfit with skeleton masks we found at the dollar store... our boys love this get up! Overall I’d say a great value! Very happy with this purchase!

Nice costume The only complaint that I have is that the sash is shown to be knee length (or just several inches shorter than the pants) and the one that I received only hangs down 3 inches from where it is tied and doesn't even reach below the shirt. While I wish the picture was accurate, this isn't something that bothers me enough to cause me to return the costume.As for sizing, I purchased a medium (size 7-8). Knowing that costumes typically run small I chose this size for my son who is in between 6-7 depending on the manufacturer. He does have some room to grow, but I don't think that I would order this size for a child who is wearing a size 8 as it might be snug depending on their proportions.I appreciate that the details on the front are not separate items as it helps keep things in place and from being overly cumbersome on a young child. The costume itself is pretty thin, but if you size up a bit you could put something underneath for extra warmth if needed. The thinness of the fabric does cause one issue: patterned underwear are somewhat visible underneath (especially in bright light).

I could not afford to spend 40 bucks on a Jack and the Neverland Pirate costume so this one helped me out A lot. My 5 year old son as well as his friends though he WAS Jake. I drew a mustache and goatee on his face for halloween and it worked out perfectly. He wants to wear it again next year. I was also please that it can with the head band as well. I went to Walmart and bought a sword and eye patch set for 3 bucks but it was still cost effective and it held up well for 3 Halloween parties and a fun night of Trick or Treating. I recommend this product for all children.

A great kid's costume, decent costume -type material, my 13yo was excited to be a pirate for Halloween. We live in Colorado and it was chilly and she didn't get cold.

Wow what a bargain! We got this pirate costume (which does not come with a sword) for <$10 (closer to $5) for Halloween 2015. A size medium fit a shorter 2nd grader. It looks very 'fierce' and 'realistic.' It was so adorable! If you live in a colder climate it might not work as well as California because the material is very light weight. However, for California or Florida trick-or-treaters it is just perfect. Given it is short sleeved and shorts the sizing is forgiving and we may be able to use it next year too.

I like it but the red wrap that goes around the waist was missing. And it’s supper thin.

Purchased this for my sons Pirate themed 3rd birthday party. What a great touch this costume was to making the party even more pirate like. The price was great and it arrived as expected. We just added our own eye patch, jewels, and sword. My son loved his costume so much we wore it again 2 months later for halloween and it was like he'd never worn it before. He loved every moment in it and still loves to play in it around the house from time to time. Great for money and quality.
