I am in love with Acure! I have struggled to find natural hair and skin care products that work for me, and Acure has been a winner in all categories. I will note, however, that knowing your hair and skin types and choosing products based off them seems to be more important with natural products. I never paid attention to things like that before and never had any issues, but have run into a few Acure products that didn't quite cut it at first and I realized it was because it didn't match up well with my hair/skin type. Anyway, now to this moisturizer. I have an awful mix of combo, sensitive, and acne prone skin. Then to make things more interesting, I am also allergic to all the active ingredients found in acne treatments and some unknown ingredient that is usually in parfum (a compound of chemicals that companies don't have to tell you the individual ingredients of because it is usually a patented formula...yay me!). So was told to only buy products marketed for sensitive skin with no fragrance. Unfortunately, everything I tried over the years either made my face so oily and gross or made me break out horribly...like the huge, super painful zits. So for years my skincare routine consisted of washing my face with the gold dial soap bar and occasionally using a scrub when the dry skin across my cheekbones got to bugging me. A few weeks ago I purchased Acure's brightening facial scrub and I really like it, but was also too abrasive. Plus, I have struggled with blackheads since puberty basically and have never gotten anywhere with them so I decided to give this scrub a try instead since the red clay is really good at drawing out junk from the pores and the exfoliation is much more gentle. I have been using this scrub almost every day for now and I am for the first time ever seeing a reduction in my blackheads. Some places are already clear and others are looking better. My skin also feels so soft after using this scrub. It actually foams up a bit, so almost could be used as a wash, but since my skin is so bad right now, and just to make sure, I'm following up with Acure's facial cleansing gel and oil matifying moisturizer. I'm also using the pore clarifying mask once a week. My face has seriously never felt and looked this good. Thank you Acure. You have come to my rescue for both my hair and skin!

I have combination skin with a blemish or two normally present at all times. But, no zits since I started using it one month ago! My face seems less red and inflamed and pores seem smaller. Also my face seems softer and not dry at all either. The face wash is red, very red, and kind of runny, with nice exfoliating stuff in there, so I only use it in the shower. At night I use regular soap. It's got a nice essential oil smell that I really enjoy.

Great product! Others have complained about the scent, but I like it--it smells a little like berries, but with something earthier (I suppose that would be the clay?). It's exfoliating, but gentle, which is a huge plus for me--a lot of scrubs (like the apricot stuff from St. Eve's or even more natural versions from Alba Botanicals, I find irritating). This one I can use 2-3 times/week with absolutely no irritation--in fact, my skin seems to really like it. I have not noticed a very dramatic difference in my pores (it isn't performing any miracles) but my skin looks smooth and healthy. My only complaint is that the color is really intense--it's very red, and leaves a pink film in the sink. I decided to only use it in the shower--I wash my face first and by the end of the shower it's rinsed away. So it's not really a problem, but it is something to be aware of--I don't think it would stain permanently, but be sure to rinse well.

I love ACURE products. LOVE THEM. I was at first a tad bit disappointed to find that this is in fact less exfoliating than the green clay facial scrub. However, I switched to this because I was finding that the green clay scrub was a bit drying for my skin type during the winter months and this stuff seems to be way more hydrating, plus it really does smell like rose oil, which is quite nice. I like the color of it as well.

Update: I used to LOVE this scrub but they changed the formula!!! This used to keep my skin soft, moisturized, and shine free. Now my skin is dry and blotchy looking. The nice gentle exfoliating beads have been replaced with super abrasive black beads. It leaves my skin so irritated and red now. It also doesn’t control oil/shine as well. I am SO sad I have to find a new face wash because I loved the old version of this one so much. I would recommend it to everyone. PLEASE bring back the old formula!!!!! Original Review September 2018: I have oily skin and love this scrub. It helps with the oil and doesn’t dry out my face. People complain about the smell but I don’t mind. It smells earthy. I definitely prefer that over a chemical laden perfume fragrance.

It was very hard to give a review on this product. So heres the deal.. 1st- I do like how it makes my skin feel very soft and even toned. 2nd- I wish it was thicker. 3rd- When I was using it at 1 point I accidently got just a very very minor bit in my nose. After wiping it away (with the water from the shower) just a smidge ended up going down the back of my throat from my nasal passage. This happens sometimes with and I usually just spit it out and rinse my mouth. Well this stuff caused a very violent coughing reaction and vomiting! It was horrible!! I've never ever had that kind of reaction to ANY face wash or soap getting in my nasal area when washing. I'm so nervous about using it again!

When I opened it, I didn’t think it was going to work nice as it really just seeps out you don’t notice the exfoliatiant. But after using it, my skin feels nice and soft and it wasn’t too abrasive. I will buy again.

Doesn’t like the smell not for me

This product smells great and is effective. There are much cheaper versions of this in drug stores and walmart, but this one seems to be the best on my skin, no irritation at all, just like all other ACURE products I've used. It's a great brand and reasonably priced, seems like an ethical company to me.

Arrived early and as described. A useful scrub, but keep it away from your eyes, especially if you have dry-eyes.

I’ve only just begun using this product so I can’t speak much as to the benefit but if you like a scrub that it gentle this is a nice one. The fragrance is good, the color is interesting (but you’re in the shower so who cares) and even though the beads in this are quite gentle, there are a lot of them so you feel pretty thoroughly scrubbed.
