Perfect for Stainless Steel.
Had a Stanley cup which the handle broke off. Stanley replaced the cup but didn’t have the same color so figured I would try to fix the old one. Epoxy wouldn’t hold so thought about soldering it on. After some research found I needed a specific solder to do the job. This worked perfectly and the handle has be securely reattached.

This solder works well with stainless steel as advertised
The application was to replace a pair NiMh batteries in a Water Pik powered toothbrush that was never designed for the owner to replace. The replacement batteries used Stainless Steel terminals which need to be soldered to the internal wires. This was the perfect size for a small job and reasonably priced. The solder’s built-in flux avoids having to buy a large bottle of liquid flux avoiding additional costs.

Flux/Solder Wire
Seems fine, some of my problems might be user error...

Did not adhere to stainless steel hair barretts
I researched why this wire didn’t work for me. I learned that the core of flux is just not enough flux to make your work adhere to the piece you are soldering to. Wish I’d know that before I bought this wire.

Works fine as ordinary Sn99.3/Cu0.7 lead-free solder for electronics and small battery tabs but the claims about stainless/iron are optimistic. Biggest issue: price. £11.68 for 30 g plus £4 odd postage is daylight robbery — you can buy a 250 g reel of the same alloy for about £20. Handy in a pinch, but terrible value. I won’t be buying again. Be clear about what metal you are soldering and check the likely viability of this solder grade working on its own (without any external flux) to join the metal parts you have. This solder has very limited/reliable use with various metals on its own. Solder is a conductive glue for small parts. If you want any strength then brazing would be better. To get even a modestly strong joint (at best) you need specific solder and flux. Soldering copper wire and thin battery tabs fine but for anything else avoid this and look elsewhere. I was asleep at the wheel when I purchased this.
