Curious About Snow (Smithsonian)

Loved this book. Used it in my preschool class as we learned about snow and how snow crystals were formed. The pictures/photographs are wonderful and it really had my 4 year olds intrigued!! We are still waiting for our first snow storm of the season. Hoping it happens soon!

Great details and engaging. I will be reading this book in January to compliment our study of Snowflake Bentley.

Lots and lots of facts about snow—more than I thought there would be! That being said, this isn’t a book you’re going to sit down and read your K class in one setting; you’ll need to choose bits and pieces of facts. Stunning pictures of snowflakes and, as another reader stated, would be an excellent addition to any snow inquiry or winter provocation.
