Fabulous Dog Pacifier
The males in my breed takes several years to completely mature in the skull. Because of this the jaw is continually changing and the need to chew is constant. I refuse to give rawhides for a variety of reasons, and real bones are out - especially on the advice of a dental vet.Other products were of no interest to our 19 month old boy so as a last resort I bought some antlers. Best.Investment.Ever.As soon as it came out of the envelope he was capering around me trying to get it. When given the antler he ran around making his happy arooo noise then settled in for a sniff and investigation. The marrow in the center was a magnet. He quickly worked out he had to nibble at the antler and went to work. I've never seen him so happy! To be honest it is almost as if he is addicted to them. We do restrict the time allowed to chew.I was purchasing the large for a medium size dog but have now moved up to the extra large as he really was getting through them at a right fair pace. The added bonus is our 6yr old girl, who has never been interested in chewing since she gained her adult teeth, has rediscovered the joy. She is not as obsessive in her chewing but she will have a 10-20 minute go. Another little bonus is that even though they both have one, they have invented a game that involves one antler, two dogs. :) Great fun to watch. All in all, the antlers are wonderful for your dog. No smell, no mess, no splinting, no chemicals, and they are from a sustainable source! The marrow and minerals in the antlers are naturally good for your dogs, and dogs love them, what more could you want?

Advised not to give to young puppy
Everyone is talking about antlers for dogs; and they seem to have so many benefits. I bought the medium and the small - have a norfolk terrier pup, thought small would do for him at puppy size and medium for when he's adult dog size. These seem to be the right sizes for a Norfolk (which is the smallest of the terrier breeds - 10 inches at shoulders for adult - but avid chewer). Since buying, have been advised by breeder and vet not to use for puppy teeth, as the antlers will be too hard. I'm happy to keep them for when he has his adult teeth, even then, small will probably be big enough for him initially. In short, great for dogs with adult teeth - but maybe not for those with their puppy teeth (someone suggested softening antler in water, but not sure about this).

value for money
My first impression was that this 'dog chew' was very small for something described as 'Extra Large' (and bearing in mind it was more expensive than any dog treat I have ever seen!).However, several weeks later, it still remains attractive to my (extra large!) dog and has lost litttle of its bulk. There is no unpleasant to it and I can pick it up and put it away when not being chewed and not feel revulsion due to having handled it.I would prefer the Extra Large version to be bigger (even though it would mean paying more) as I worry slightly about the possibility of my dog trying to gulp it down. However, as all dog owners should not really leave chews with their dogs for this reason, with some extra management on my behalf, this can be monitored.

Love StagBar Antler dog chews but will stick with Large size in future.
I've bought and love (well I love how much the dogs love) StagBar Antler dog chews but until this time I bought the Large size. Now that my puppy is getting bigger (8 months old) I've found that he gets through them much quicker so I thought I'd try the Extra Large size. The shapes that I was sent this time was very poor with the result that he was able to eat a long thin (light in weight) sticking out bit leaving a small very dense part which he is now struggling to hold and we are struggling to help him with. Consequently I don't think it's lasted as long as the large size and costs significantly more. I will continue to buy them but will stick with the Large size.

Antler dog chew
Great dog chew, I would say to order up a size at least. I ordered extra large for my large bull breed dog and its great for her, that said though, my ten month old show type (small) whippet is getting her teeth around it with no problems too as its not huge, huge! No mess from it and it doesn't get that awful sliminess to it, you know the one, when the cheeky hound has left it hanging about the living room for bare feet to find, yuck....well none of that so IM happy! Oh and the dogs like it too!

Picture gives false description
On seeing this I thought it would be great for my black lab and the picture showing two pieces at such a great price just made it a great purchase, so I ordered two( over£40 worth). What arrived was two pieces which I wouldn’t even call large. To say I am disappointed is an understatement and I certainly would not be buying this item , or recommending it.

Not really sure if they are liked or not
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not really sure if they are liked or not? I have two big dogs, gave them one each. They just looked at them! Both love to chew but these are not really chewable. They still pick them up from time to time which is a real shame as I thought they would love them. Labrador appears to spend more time with the slightly thinner one but there is hardly a mark on it. Retriever has very little time for it & prefers his old Nylabones which he can chew little bits off of. I would not purchase again but please do let my experience put you off. Each dog is different.

Will keep dog happy.
Was disappointed with my purchase, although I paid the same price as the last one I purchased, this latest one is half the size and as it was purchased for a husky/alsation will probably not last as long. I can recomment these for a dog who will chew anything and everything our pup loves them.
