How long should this be taken?

I’m not a professional, but I have taken the recommended doses on the bottle until it was gone (less than two weeks?) and then waited a few weeks and started it again. I’ve taken it off and on that way for about six months, maybe? But only bought 4 or 5 bottles over that time.
