One of the best pencils out there.
I love the way this pencil feels in my hands ... its thicker but with the smallest lead .05 it writes so good ( if you know then you know how a GOOD pencil writes ) There is a little tiny hidden eraser under the metal cap if you just give it a little tug.

A great pencil to use daily!!
The media could not be loaded. Why haven’t we heard of it! It should have a big fuss too in the stationery lovers community.Amazing quality and comfort. My hand and my fingers are thanking me so much now. Since I’m a pencil type of a student, I write for hours every single day with only pencils and I have callus on my middle finger due to all the other pencils I have owned in the picture attached. Those other pencils are either slightly heavy, don’t have a nice rubbery grip, or don't really have a nice feeling to them when writing. This, however, feels AMAZING. My fingers won’t slip at all. It feels as if I'm writing with a pen and not a pencil. It writes really nicely. My handwriting looks really really great with this. I highly recommend you guys try it.

Beautiful pencil!
I had an Energize pencil for many years that I wore everything off of it! They are comfortable, functional and extremely reliable. I didn't know they made this particular color but its a really beautiful and elegant pencil. I know I'll be using it until I wear everything off of it too!

Love it!
The media could not be loaded. It's perfect! I'm working on a large graphite pencil lion portrait and my mechanical pencil stopped working. Love this one just as much as my very old one!

Alternative to Papermate's X-Tend Mechanical Pencil
I am incredibly particular about the type of pencils I use because of how often I draw and sketch. I heavily prefer mechanical pencils to wooden ones, and prefer 0.5mm to other sizes. Additionally, I generally grip pencils closer to their tip as opposed to the barrel (where the rubber grip is usually located). In my years of playing around with different mechanical pencils, I've yet to find one to come marginally close to Papermate X-tend mechanical pencil. For those of you unfamiliar with X-Tend, it was a mechanical pencil with a thick barrel with a vary short, stout tip. To me at least, that pencil was the most comfortable I've ever used: it was wide enough to keep my fingers comfortably spaced apart and hefty enough to feel durable. Unfortunately, however, the pencil has been discontinued since early 2010s.So what was the point of this entire exposition? I'm saying that to my knowledge, Pentel's Energize mechanical pencil is closest substitute available to the X-Tend. While it isn't X-Tend, it does have similar thickness and heft that left me pencil bliss. As a mechanical pencil, I've yet to run into any sort of problems; it works like any other pencil would. The tip is retractable but a little longer than I would like. The rubber grip on the pencil isn't my favorite, it feels rather stiff and thin. I can't comment on the eraser because I use a separate eraser entirely but it doesn't feel cheap and feels like it would erase well. I have yet to experience the barrel problem other people have mentioned and I pray I dont ever do.Overall, Pentel's Energize mechanical pencil is very solid and I enjoy using it. For me, there's the added bonus of having qualities similar to the X-Tend pencil but this bonus is moot to those who have never tried said pencil.P.S. I've found it's very comfortable to perform twirly pencil tricks with the Energize pencil.

No packaging?
I like this pencil. It’s a good weight and writes good. Not sure why it didn’t come in the original package. It was wrapped in plastic. Nothing was wrong with it, but just strange that it wasn’t in a normal package. Was it used? I’m not sure.
