I don't know why I waited so long!
I had this identical pair of Wolverines 10 years ago. They were light, comfortable, warm in the winter and reasonably cool in the summer. So like any wise middle aged man, I spent 10 years after that buying, Red wing boots, Thorogood boots, Carolina boots, Georgia Boots and even Wolverine Hellcat boots just to be disappointed by them all. As soon as I slid these boots on, it brought me right back to ten years ago. They are incredible! I've never had another pair of boots that didn't require any break in period to be comfortable. They fit true to size and have a level of comfort that I couldn't get in a $250 dollar pair of Union, American made boots. That being said, these are Chinese made boots. I do not appreciate that fact, but when it comes to comfort, you just have to go with what works. I work in the maintenance department in a petroleum refinery and these boots get abused by asphalt, crude oil, heavy caustics and acids. The only thing that they do not hold up to is high heat. We have copper steam tracing laying all over the place at approximately 250 to 300 degrees and the soles melt almost instantly on it. They also are not water proof. I haven't had a chance to put mink oil on them, but I'm figuring that will help when I do. Most waterproof boots that I have had in the past didn't breath very well in the summertime, so I am ok with this aspect. So, if you can avoid standing on steam tracing and stay out of large bodies of standing water, you will love these boots for years to come!!!

Most comfortable yet!
I've been building food and beverage and in general, doing plant work (hardened floors) since 1993. The tech in these boots, is 2nd to none. This is the 1st pair of steel toes I've had in at least 10 years, Just prior to these owned 2 pair of the "non" steel toes. Those boots are what sold me on the boot technology. I was always a R3dW!ng guy, until I found this Sole / boot. They are so much better. for stride and controlling your "gate", Waterproof nubuck leather uppers for durability; 200-gram Thinsulate Ultra insulation provides warmth; Removable dual-density insole for comfort and support; Steel toe for safety; DuraShocks Slip-resistant TPU outsole for top traction; Dri-lex lining wicks away sweat and moisture; Lightweight polyurethane midsole; Fiberglass shank for stability; Direct-attach construction locks out water; Electrical hazard rated; ASTM F2413-11, M I/75 and C/75 EH rated. my feet do sweat in these, when I'm in a "shop" environment, or outside on warm to hot days. What do you expect? they are water proof - with thinsulate. Great boots overall

Game changer in the outdoor winter work environment!
I bought these for my husband who works outside in the Northeast because his feet get cold quickly and it makes doing his job much more difficult. He also suffers back pain because most work boots are not only heavy, but also do not offer enough support. We chose the Durashocks on the advice of a friend whose husband also works outside and has been wearing them for years. My husband was a little bit skeptical upon receiving the boots because although they were much more attractive than the picture represented, they didn't seem as light as he hoped they would be. After wearing them every day for the last week he has actually thanked me every single day for making this purchase. He says that they don't put the stress on his body that his previous boots did and that he can't imagine wearing anything else now. They are staying dry out in the snow and his feet are nice and warm, although he does also double layer with wool socks because he has struggled so much with cold feet in the past. I am considering buying another pair without the insulation for when the warm weather arrives.

Good Boots
Very good work boots, very comfortable. First time I have purchased this style with steel toes. In the past, steel toed boots were heavy and would get cold. Theses appear to be lighter so far (only have worn them once) and only time will tell. These are my third pair of wolverine boots, they last and they are comfortable. As they get older, two years, the comfort level goes down. Keep in mind that I wear these 6 to 7 days a week, partly because they are so comfortable so I get my money's worth, that's for sure.

Comfort, quality, price, and durability
Perfect fit for a very picky man. These have to have the exact toe fit, arch support, correct width and the sole has to be right as well as the height of the boot itself. These are the only boots my picky husband will wear and thankfully they last him a good while beca6they are hard to find and a bit pricey.

These are the best boots that I have owned
These are the best boots that I have owned. I have knee problems and can typically "feel" the ground in my knees as I walk in most of my shoes. To counter this I usually purchase Nike Air sneakers and boots to reduce the impact forces as I walk. Unfortunately Nike does not manufacture work boots and I work in construction which requires steel toe shoes so I was forced to find an alternative. I have used these boots on eroded asphalt roads, concrete roads, dirt roads, gravel roads, etc. and I can honestly say that I feel little to no pain in my knees at all through out my work day and I have been using them for several months. They have truly been a blessing and if they ever "die" I will purchase another pair. Do not think twice about purchasing. Just do it!
