I have a lot of thick, curly hair and these work well to hold in an updo. They are nice and sturdy and don't fall apart like so many do.

This is a much bigger clip than I thought it would be! It is about the length of my iPhone 8+ for size contextualization...I thought because it was so big, it would be hard to open and close since I have small hands, but it's been ok. Can not really speak to the sturdiness since I have only been using these for about 1 week. I will say, I forgot my hair tie for a run and I used this clip and it actually held my hair in place for the run! I have shoulder-length slick medium-thick hair, and I braided it up and basically did an updo...but yea! Other clips would have definitely not survived all the gravity and jostling.

I now have four of these clips, all in different colors. I have longish hair, just below by shoulders. I love the messy bun look and these clips help me to achieve that look. If I want neater hair, I just add hair pins or small clips or put my hair up tighter. This is an easy way to style hair if you are on the go, especially early in the morning. Hopefully, a holiday clip or two will come out in this style. I purchased the three clips for $9.99 and that is the best deal. There are several vendors selling these clips, I purchased my first one from a different seller for $6.99 for just one. Still, that is a good price considering the sturdiness of this clip.

I used to use the Goody Large Octopus Hair Clip, but mine eventually broke and they must have replaced them online because the ones I ordered came back smaller. I have long thick hair and a 1 year old so being able to quickly get my hair up and out of my face is a must. I looked forever for a replacement clip, and read hundreds of reviews before deciding to try these. They work decent. I liked the octopus clips because they were wider and I felt were able to hold more hair. Whatever hair I can get in these clips stays, but I usually get the same pieces of hair that always slip out. They're comfortable and sturdy though so they do the trick.

This is honestly the best clips that I wasn't expecting to be that great. It's become my new favorite clip! And I've gone through my fair share of broken and inadequate clips.
