Phone camera confirms beam. Easily connected to 3 AA battery pack by splicing wires. Solid construction. Pretty much, plug and play.

IT WORKS
Keep in mind this laser diode is emitting infrared light, thus its not visible to the naked eye. With that being said mine works.

Doesn’t turn on with 3v or 3.2v or 3.7v
I’ll try it with 5v when my board arrives but it doesn’t turn on with 3v or 3.2v or 3.7v. Not sure if it’s defective or needs more power. I’ll find out soon but may have to return it
