The designer included a slot in the top, to store your razor in There is even a depression in the base, so that you can slot you razor in place and have the end resting in the depression. Unfortunately.... the base is short enough, and the metal bowl large enough, that if you fit a razor in place, then the bowl will fall forwards off the end of the base

Having exclusively used electric shavers for many years, erratic beard growth with increasing age prompted an occasional return to wet shaving. A traditional shaving mug gifted long ago, long unused and stored in a bathroom cabinet was recently rediscovered and found to be cracked. Initial thought was to replace it with one similar but they appear no longer fashionable, difficult to find and grossly expensive. Modern fashion is to apparently use a simple bowl and perhaps a stand for the brush and razor. Its brush may not be immediately needed as a real badger brush was a present to self some years ago but never before used; if it fits in the stand it will be the first choice. The stand is acrylic, lightweight when empty and seemingly very stable when loaded with the brush and a luxury traditional safety razor previously purchased. It is easy to clean should shaving foam and stubble splash onto it or accumulate - it is almost impossible to avoid. While other brushes may fit, it is designed for that included. A razor is not included and most should fit in the dedicated slot. It has the advantage of being relatively inexpensive and rust-proof (that may not apply to the bowl over time - it will then be replaced).

Excellent product and what I needed to get me started in the world of double edged shaving! Delivered on time if not a day early and in good packaging.

Very smooth great brush

This is a very, very poor quality product, not really worth the £14 being asked for. I am not quite sure why there are so many 5 star reviews for it. The mug came with a manufacturing defect; some kind of depression with the paint missing; so I doubt it is stainless steel, more like plastic painted chrome. The mug is also very small; it looks like a toy. I didn't use the set so I can't comment on the quality of the brush or the suitability of the stand.

2 months of use and husband says he hasn't lost a bristle! Great brush!

I'm very happy with this brush, bowl and holder. I can neatly store it along with my Henson razor in my medicine cabinet (see photo). The brush works well, and isn't too pokey (no boar hair). The bowl is metal, but I have a feeling it's a metal exterior over a plastic interior. When I put hot water in it, the bottom interior expands a little and pops out a little, something that wouldn't happen on a solid metal bowl. Regardless, it works very well, looks classy, and makes it easy to store my shaving kit together.

Good kit and brush. Keeps everything organized and brush is soft and works great.
