- This Zojirushi 2.0l steel vacuum bottle or 'flask' shines and does exactly what it claims to do.- it comes with English instructions which are easy to follow, despite the Zojirushi being a Japanese company and having instructions in Japanese too!- it is basically a giant version of the smaller Zojirushi steel vacuum bottle. I own the 20 ounce one and I was so impressed by it that I bought this large version.- it has a steel plated upper cover that may also function and is shaped like a cup. It is the outer cover that closes the vacuum bottle.- there is a smaller white cup or bowl that rests just beneath the black and steel cover which is immensely helpful if more than one person is using the vacuum bottle!- it has a middle opening and closing lid that is very well made. It is black with an inner blue color and a gray gasket. This cover can be opened on its own completely to pour or empty liquid contents into the vacuum bottle. It also has a spout that is opened using a red button that can be used to pour the hot or cold contents of the bottle to the accompanying white plastic cup or the black and steel cup with a handle. The spout is closed using the light gray knob at the end of the black and blue lid. This is an excellent invention as one does not need to open and close the entire lid to pour out contents!- it has a blue adjustable handle that opens up slightly for easy holding and handling and closes and rests flush against the steel bottle when not in use.There is an adjustable strap that is provided that is very useful if you want to carry the bottle as a small backpack accessory with your hand/s or shoulder. This strap holder is especially useful if you are to use the bottle for camping or a sleepover or when entertaining outdoors or indoors. It's very versatile and multi-purpose!- it keeps hot liquids hot for 7-8 hours. Hot water only keeps extremely hot for 8 or so hours before it starts turning warm and then lukewarm. Hot liquids/beverages such as coffee or tea stay hot for 7 hours before they start getting warm then lukewarm. This would serve most people's needs for a whole day of keeping liquids warm. A good thermos usually doesn't go beyond 5 hours before the liquids get colder and colder. Also, there is nothing to break if it falls (if a thermos falls the flask breaks) as the whole container is steel.- on hot days, this bottle shines! If you put ice cubes in there, they last a whole 24 hours or more. There will be a slight melt off especially if the bottle is kept in a hot place or outdoors which you can empty using the spout by pressing the red button!- I have used this steel vacuum bottle for serving coffee and tea to many family members and. guests in colder mornings, used it for camping and hiking and storing ice cubes for more than 24 hours.- I have taken pictures to show you the actual bottle, what is contains and how it stacks up against the smaller 20 ounce Zojirushi bottle and the Zojirushi Bento Vacuum container. I am sold on Zojirushi since I bought a rice cooker some years ago. I wish I had come across these other food and beverage products sooner!

Alright, this thing is either going to be the best thing i've purchased from Amazon or the worst. It's bad for me because it's been causing me to drink more soda which I am addicted t. I'm going to be reviewing this product through the eyes of a chronic soda drinker, so you can skip this review if you're going to be using this for soup or hot tea. It will be on the 51 oz. version.Anyhow, let me explain why this is a godsend for anyone that loves their cold fountain drinks.1) It's 51oz. which is larger than a Super Big Gulp, smaller than a Double Gulp. At 7-eleven, its a 99 cent refill. They upcharge refills above 54oz, so this container fits perfectly under that.2) The spout opens up easily with a press of a button and the hole is just large enough to fit a 7-eleven straw through it with no issues.3) With a 1/3rd of a thermos full of ice, it can keep your drink cold for 24 hours. There will still be some ice left inside! That's actually amazing when you consider that the container was left UNSEALED with the straw inserted the entire time!4) Soda fact: cold soda lose their carbonation at a much slower rate compared to room temperature soda. This will keep the fizz going long after a Super Big Gulp cup has lost it.5) Say goodbye to watered down soda. Assuming you only use a 1/3rd of ice, it will be a few hours before you even notice the ice watering down your drink. Long lasting flavor!6) Surprisingly sturdy handle considering that it's retractable. I am re-reviewing this in 2021 and bought this in 2014 and it has held up.7) Nice clean shiny stainless steel. A steel canvas perfect for putting on stickers. I got a giant red Transformers Autobot sticker on mine, which now matches the color scheme of Optimus Prime with its Stainless steel, blue handle, and red sticker. How fun!8) Love how easily the cap is to take apart for cleaning. All rubber seals are easy to take off too!9) Teflon-like coating on the inside seems pretty thick and smooth. It has lasted about 6 years so far since i bought it.And the bad..1) Well if you use this just for cold drinks, the cap and bowl contained within is virtually useless, so I just keep these pieces at home.2) Fairly heavy when full of liquid, but that can't be avoided. GIves one of your arms a work out.3) It was initially hard to close the handle until I figured out how to do it properly. Never press the handle in on the middle of the handle to close. Always press the top part where the thumb grip is and it will glide inself in.4) This container is not designed for carbonated drinks, so sealing the container with the spout close is highly unadvisable (so i've read). The air pressure may damage the seals. Since it is unsealed, you will lose some carbonation throughout the day.5) Does NOT fit in car cup holders! You can use a seatbelt instead, but it can still topple over sideways so I always hang on to mine whenever I make a turn with the car. However, this container would fit great in a child seat!6) The handle is very flexible feeling which makes it feel like it could possibly break at some point like in some other reviews on this product. However, im lucky enough not to experience any problems with it. In the event that it does, I still see myself using it as it its not that hard to carry around one handed without the handle if you have normal sized hands.Would I recommend this? Yes, but it depends. Do you love soda or cold beverages in general? Are you a notoriously slow drinker and hate the thought of warm drink? Do you often find yourself buying soda from convenience stores that let you refill your own containers? If so, this product will be a perfect fit for you!
